In short, not spectacular. But fun!

Stupid stupid stupid for not thinking to tape the entertainment news shows tonight. But then, I don't seem to have a brain in general today, messing up code I've been doing half-asleep for a year now.

So, the new issue of Rolling Stone with the article on the Twins? Good lord! They are simply too darling for words. "He's worrying about how other people think of me, too." Adrian, you punky boy. Funny thing, they are *entirely* the way I had them in my head as I was writing fic Saturday morning.

Met up with Miranda after my whirlwind shopping venture, which resulted in four Old Navy tanktops (two of them with Rugby-style stripes! Horizontal stripes that don't hate on my boobs! Whoot!) We sat amidst various sci-fi and industry magazines, reading funny Interview articles out loud and oohing about the Matrix action figures advertised in Dreamwatch. Even the busts are well-done! US Weekly continues to walk the fine line between The Enquirer and Weekly World News.

Oh, and [livejournal.com profile] mimesere - You totally called it, baby. The Twins are in fact ghosts, or they are as far as the FX production and design team are concerned. I believe the gentleman interviewed called them "Impressionistic." Hee. Still don't see the logic whereby they are corporeal by default, but so it goes. Foils no plan of mine. Well, maybe kinks a more interesting idea I had the other day, but not the current universe.

Got home to post Day Two on time! So, so sucked in. Why do I even pretend I'm not a whore for these boys?

Made a date with the aforementioned (Miranda, not the boys) to drive the hour it takes to get to South Miami for the June 20th IMAX showing of The Matrix Reloaded. Duuuude. That's gonna rock like a rockin' thing.

Today's side-by-side then-and-now pictorials of Justin and Christina have been fun. My how they've grown! It's interesting for me because I'm not old enough to have really seen people change, grow, accomplish things, and reminisce about the long ago time. Still a little impossible to see myself as an adult, even as next year I'm technically a senior in college (only third year, it's merely a credits thing).

The clips of Craig "Haldir" Parker and Mark "Gil-Galad" Ferguson from RingCon in Germany had me howling with laughter. Huge huge thanks to [livejournal.com profile] zarah5 for the clips. 'Tis a very good thing indeed that the office is out in the guesthouse. Spoofing Aragorn and Arwen (doing mock voices throughout, and Craig on a stool because he's just that short, especially next to Mark):

Mark: "Oh, Aragorn, son of... Baragorn. I desire you like no elven daughter of a rock star. I-I wish to not only give you my heart, I wish to give you... I wish to give you this very... ::Craig whispers to him:: Star of Elendyl?"

Craig: "Star of Elendyl?"

M: "I wish to give you this..."

C: ::with help from the audience:: "Eveningstar! The Eveningstar!"

M: "Have you seen the film? Really, Aragorn, you should see the film, I hear it's very good. I wish you to take this, this rather unattractive necklace that's... quite cheap, really. Please take it."

C: "No, I-I can't. Or, I can? No, I can't! For if I take this, you will grow old and... not look so beautiful as you do now. And I thought I was signing up for an elf and, you know, beautiful for all eternity but, well if you're gonna get old and stuff, well. Actually, I'm gonna go see that Eowyn down the road."

Bwah! And this:

Question: How do you explain to yourself that Haldir in The Two Towers and the original Lord of the Rings was supposed to be a beautiful and noble elf, always looks like he's not properly shaven?

Craig: ::laughing through the entire question, then replies entirely straighfaced:: Raging testosterone.

*snerk* Right. As would be proper of the Queen of Lorien. Also, Craig needs to say words like 'frightened' a whole lot more, because mmm. Articulation.

Dude. Conquered both JuC and Michael Rosenbaum mah jonggs on second try. This says something about my gaming skillz. But then, I'm not entirely sure that's a good thing.

Quote of the Day:
(with thanks to the original transcriber, can't seem to find who just now)

Blender: There are a lot of excellent tours this summer. What's going to be special about yours?

Justin: OK, I'll give you my fifteen-second billboard: We have something for guys and something for girls. My part of the show is crazy. It's nuts. That's why you should come out and see it.

B: Crazy?

J: Yeah. It's going to be banoodles - bananas and noodles all in one.
