Truer words, man. We practically threw the fourth amendment out the window last week, not to even dredge up the absurdity that is the "Patriot Act" (for the record, I don't disagree with the intention with which it was drafted, obviously, but the overreaching powers it grants, which are so 1984 and ripe for the abusing it makes my head spin) or the death of the first amendment when war became a topic. Ben Franklin will never rest in peace at this rate.
Off topic, but further proof that my mom is grand: she bought me ice cream for dinner. No lie. *hugs her tight*

Chasez 2004 -- The Campaign To End All Campaigns
or, a few thoughts on why JC should be President
Because the White House needs some livening up: to be frank, Dubya is dull. Stiff and stodgy, always with the suits and ties and serious (albeit monkeyish) expressions. The attempts to sound smarter than he really is. JC would change all that. The White House would first see redecoration as no First Lady has ever envisioned it. Glitter, shag carpeting, streamers, balloons, confetti. Mismatched paint on any and all adjacent walls. Imagine, if you will, a White House that could function not only as the point of action for globally crucial decisions, but could also serve as D.C.'s most happening nightclub. What the world needs now is versatility of venue. JC can make it happen.
Because politics have become too serious a matter: JC embodies the sweet and loving nature that has yet to be tested as a personality of leadership. Years of jargon and political thick skin have failed to lead us into a world of peace and prosperity for all. JC envisions a different world, in which all weapons of destruction (mass or otherwise) are painted to sparkle and erected as monuments, as reminders if you will, to the misspent youth of global society. He believes in the power of gold and glitter, of neon and leopard prints. He believes a smile can make it better, and here at the Chasez 2004 Campaign, we believe he's right. We've had a major think tank (name withheld as per contractual requirements) hard at work to predict the possible impact of a Chasez presidency. Everyone agrees: nothing short of world peace.
Think about it. Can you look at JC and not smile? Does your heart not fill with delight? Do you not want to take your fellow earthly citizen by the hand and say, "I love you. Because, yes"? The evidence is clear. Conflict the world over would cease as leaders, as people, came to recognize the value of JC's lessons.
We challenge you, the voters, to make it happen. A vote for JC is a vote for an entertaining future. Vote responsibly, vote well. Vote Chasez in 2004.
