Well, not really. My motivation for not calling it at the achey, coughy, stuffy-nosey, sinus painey awakening was stronger than my will to just have it over with right there. You should've heard me talking to myself through the medication delirium - You haven't seen *NSYNC perform live! No going gently into that good night for you yet! Colds suck, man.

Passed out last night about two minutes before the Extra clip of Sharon's show reaired. However, the universe is kind, and not only did I get the streaming video to work in Netscape, Breny from the JJB zipped it and graciously made it available on her site. Mmm. Nope, not getting old yet.

Dude, I so wish I'd run into the Good Charlotte boys the other weekend just so I could've told them how I adore the everloving fuck out of Lifestyles of the Rich & Famous. Kickass tune. I even had occasion to quote it over dinner (give you a hint what line - we were watching CNN).

While I have majorly gut-wrenching issues with the rest of the Up With What You're Down With series, I could reread Coda a thousand times and only love it more and more. Sandy has such an incredible way with Lance and his angst, and even though his dynamic with Justin in that series all but gets the chorus to Nine Inch Nails' Reptile in my head, I'm rooting for them.

Browsed nsyncgallery.org for JoLa pictures. Finder's credit goes to its curator, [livejournal.com profile] allen_sama.

Found a couple of new favorites.

This is me, absolutely slain by the cuteness of that picture. *dead*

And all I have in my head is Fantastic Voyage. *snerk*

That's just adorable, yo.

And a few perennial ones.

Can we all just pause for a moment and note that they're *holding hands*?

Just a general worshipful nod to [livejournal.com profile] liz_w for taking and sharing her beautiful pictures.

I love the hesitance and blatancy with which Lance touches Joey in the early pictures, like he means to sneak it in all casual like, but you can totally tell he'd been planning for the opportunity.

We all got our university housing assignments today. As it turns out, [livejournal.com profile] xalxuffasch will be living directly above me on the third floor of Sledd Hall. He's been sworn to secrecy about any overheard singing and not to pass judgement on the new running-to-class-unshowered me he'll be more accustomed to than I ever intended.

JC and his ghettoblasted booty on the 2003 Teen Choice Awards were watched. I don't have anything to say that I haven't already said before, but worthy of note is that aside from Lance's leather fetish, JC has hands-down the best pants. Though Chris in the baseball uniform, scoring first *and* game-winning home runs? Pretty fuckin' sexy, too.

For the record, Chinese food will go a long way to markedly improve any mood.

Talked to RJ on AIM tonight. Boy totally made my week with his taking genuine interest in the music and vocal stylings of *NSYNC/Justin/JC. We're friends from high school and he knows a lot about music, so it was cool to have the opportunity for an intelligent discussion and hear his own knowledgeable opinions on the tracks I sent over. We started with the Bee Gees medley, because there's no one on this Earth who wouldn't have the pants impressed off of them by their rendition of Stayin' Alive.

And wow, did he fall fast and hard for Chris's voice.

After that it was all is that his natural range? doesn't sound like he's singing falsetto and that's crazy, I totally want to talk to him now, voices like that are incredibly rare. Found a beautiful acapella version of Lion Sleeps Tonight from a German show which we both swooned over, though for me it also had to do with Lance's bassline intro.

As far as the *NSYNCer sings one of their hits solo meme going down in [livejournal.com profile] powrhug's journal, someone said JC doing a slower, stylized version of No Strings Attached, an idea I never would've thought of, but which sends happy shivers all down my spine. That's currently tied with Lance doing Gone, which, god, I don't think I'd survive.

[ETA: Not that this is news, but Cry Me A River is an angry track, yo. Everyone should hear the concert version to get the full effect, though I'm sure the House of Blues kids got an even more poignant earful. Damn. With the drums and his singing, it's like a spiteful funeral dirge.]
