He broke it during rehearsals for a performance on Top of the Pops in England. Poor puppy. It couldn't have happened at a worse time, but he pretty much disregarded doctor's orders after spending a couple of weeks at home in Memphis with his mum, looking anything but happy in the few pics from basketball games and the like that surfaced. The Italian Vogue shoot was right around that time, if memory serves. His foot was still in that brace for the TRL appearance December 13th, but when he was photographed golfing on the 4th of January it was off.
I'll stop now, as my memory for this kind of absolutely pointless trivia scares me, too.
