so much for that 'all occasions, all the time' store idea

they had french toast sticks at broward dining for breakfast today. i love the things. crispy, sweet, and dipable. however, they've also been contextualized - since it's not something my mom makes, i only have them at hotel breakfast buffets and Shoney's which only happens when my family goes to orlando. so exposition short, french toast sticks = a day of fun romping through tacky theme parks, thrilling rollercoasters, and fun in the responsibility and real life-free sun. it's the little things. that and i missed home just that much less in having a token of together times to bask in. i now understand not frustration, rather elation at eating "occasion food" like pumpkin pie during Thanksgiving and Starbucks gingerbread lattes for December only while the leftovers last.
