My Lesson Well-Learned:
Man, I'm amazed every day. Thousands upon thousands who still don't understand that they're on the Internet. I mean, it says it right there. Internet. It's...between things (unidentified things, but still! it's not "the Innernet" or "The Indinet"!), and it snares you. Iiiiinternet. InterNET. Learn it, live it, love it.

My Single Most Important Resolution:
To be on time. Always in all ways.
My Goal:
To make better use of my free education and do some serious career-orienting.
My Newest Kink:
Spontaneous travel: Orlando. Jacksonville. Chicago. Atlanta. Home. New York. It's been the year for unplanned jetsetting, and if my SkyMiles card has anything to say about it, it's something I intend to keep pursuing. Some of my best times this year, hands down.
To Sum Up:
1. Journalism may or may not in fact be my thing. Seeing as how I'm planning to change my major as soon as we get back to school though, it might be time to get that one figured out.
2. Not that I'm not eternally waxing poetic about one or all of my friends at every juncture, but the person with the biggest influence on my year would probably be Angela. For... gosh, I don't even know where to start. Well, I know where it started and began again, but not to begin listing all the ways in which she not only introduced me to a new fandom, (here, dip your toes and see how you like the water) she immersed me in something I never had any real power against (yo, check this out and you can swim, right? *splash*). I've not uttered a single syllable in objection, and have in fact rediscovered the Holy Grail of happiness within, all through her boundless generosity. I appreciate her kind heart, clever mind, and good taste (meaning very alike to mine, heh) more than any amount of saying so will convey. In summation? Thank you.
3. Between Smallville, caffeine addiction, shared dorkiness and unflappable nonchalance about singing in public, Miranda has not only been my comrade in arms, but I daresay we've had the best year to date and have gotten closer than ever. She is my mockery receptacle, a fountain of snark, and a most delightful, compassionate friend.
4. New York is absolutely amazing and endlessly enrapturing to me. However, I still love the Los Angeles vibe more, even if it does have less of that concrete jungle feel I love so much. And subways! I like 'em. However, palm trees and beaches are essential, too. Live that close all your life and it's next to impossible to give it up. We'll see...
4a. RENT with Joey Fatone. Because, yes, Broadway musicals and talented, hammy boys make *me* wanna sing.
5. Fanfiction is good, whether writing or reading. Finding satisfaction in both again have definitely been highlights this year.
6. It's good to be a fangirl again, though I can't believe I was this slow on the slash thing.
6a. From last night, as a matter of fact:
Xal Xuffasch: i hope you just caught that on Conan
MoonBrat42: what?
Xal Xuffasch: it was way back in November when they were doing analogies all the time
Xal Xuffasch: Big Mac without cheese: 20% less fat
Xal Xuffasch: *NSYNC without Justin Timberlake: 80% less gay
MoonBrat42: bwahahahaha!!!
MoonBrat42: oh my goodness
MoonBrat42: *clutches belly*
MoonBrat42: although, to be fair, it's only 40% less gay
MoonBrat42: JC accounts for thirty with his clothes alone
MoonBrat42: and Lance
MoonBrat42: oh Lance
Yep, that about tallies it quite nicely. Here's to ringing in the New Year with cheap champagne and ridiculously expensive chocolate. Hey, it worked for 2002.
