The day took a lovely one-eighty and I am one happy woman for it. Driving my car has indisputable therapeutic value and the friendly kids at Starbucks let me set up shop at the best table in the house and footed the bill to power Douglas' AC adapter, all for a cup of coffee I was already irresistably drawn to. During my time there, we had everything from good music to confused but lively French exchange students, two mix CDs and surprising amounts of productivity. Not being able to plot my stories until they happen means constant revision and restructuring, but this one's shaping up nicely, possibly done by tomorrow nicely, but there's an emerging theme that might concern me if I didn't love it so much. We'll see.
Dennys apparently had a hiring spree, and the sheer number of cute boys behind the counters working third shift is incentive enough to never sleep again.
And parking upon my triumphant return! It really does take so little, and today was a veritable fifty-two card pickup of spades.
On a less enthusiastic note, other than being supremely amused that Spike remembered all the choice things Faith-possessed!Buffy said and the little good slayer/bad slayer banter in the graveyard, the episode was otherwise annoyingly paced and oh my god, was that ending absolutely necessary? *cringes and hugs Xander tight*
