I spent so, so much time browsing LiveJournal tonight, just clicking through links and checking out personal as well as community journals it's tiring to even think about. Three new friends though! *waves* It was cute that I even vaguely entertained the notion that my picture sorting accomplishment would last even an iota longer than the next time I was near an internet connection. But day-um. So.Many.Pictures.

Icon courtesy of the lovely [livejournal.com profile] slimslash. Thanks bunches for getting us in the groove, darlin'.

This *NSYNC pairings mah jongg thing you crazy kids have come up with now? Y'all just wanna watch me flop around like a hapless fish in the face of all the other things that, you know, actually need doing. Madness, the whole lot.

Listening to JC justify (heh) Digital Get Down without saying the words "cybersex is the new pink, yo" was adorable.

Okay, Justin and Britney waltzing on the basketball court at CFTC III is just cuteness beyond the expressing. Every bit the Prince and Princess of Pop (minus the usually stylin' duds) in that moment.

Beck singing Cry Me A River? I needed an excuse to scope out the Office Depot Center, and this might well be it.

My perverted little mind managed to corrupt a perfectly innocent Foxtrot panel. I just expect things when I read my friends list, is that wrong?

[livejournal.com profile] hammerhead22's icon of Lance with the caption "and then there were five" warms my heart.

That strobe effect they do with vocals on techno tracks? Makes me dizzy when listening to it through headphones.

The shrine to Tiffany Rawlins continues to take over the metaphysical spaces of my room. Madchen is like, whoa. Need to reread it when I'm more conscious.

How has no one picked this quote out of the latest mtv.com article on JC's solo project?

"There's no question there's magic there, and it's weird to say, but we all knew it from the beginning. We never knew how far it would go or whatever; we always knew that there was magic between us, and there will be more."
-JC Chasez

If TPTB smile, there'll be halftime show goodness that'll make my little heart skip. *can't wait for July*

I've been such the broken record. Seriously, the past week can be summed up in this: Lance is wonderful, usually in some sort of adorably dorky way. I'd quite probably melt from the inside out from the love I feel for JC if I ever met him. Challenge can't come soon enough. If you've been skimming your friends list, you're now caught up with me.

From when Lance went to see Joey in RENT. The only thing I love more than Lance is Lance with Joey. I hear JoLa is the pairing most start out in - it's been nine months for me, and it's never come even close to being deposed from number one status. That my pairing has more "canon" than possibly any other makes me joyous like Christmas, it really does. On the surface, he and Lance seem to have virtually nothing in common in many ways, yet all evidence points to their being possibly the closest in the entire group. Lance seems to become more relaxed around Joey, at ease with being himself (perhaps as part of a united front) as opposed to feeling like he has to put on a persona. He sure smiles a whole heck of a lot more, like here, which I'd declare the first real smile we got photographic evidence of since he got back from Russia. I'm currently writing overly schmoopy fic about the night because just look at the boy! Glowy and happy and Joey's 'Bros Before Hos' shirt and the way he seems to do that to Lance by simply existing warms my little heart. Love. Yes.

I hope I never promised coherence with these recs. It's mostly me grunting and urging you to go read because wow.

Mexican Moon by Betty Plotnick

(Joey) "It's hot. You're hot. How are you not getting how hot this is? You and me, trashy Mexican brothel-looking hotel, you taste like tequila and your whole body has to hurt, but you're still starting to get hard thinking about us. I want to fuck you unconscious and maybe leave cash on the dresser, but it's *you.* It's you, and you'll always be the best part of whoring around in Mexico, because I remember when your idea of getting crazy was cinnamon Schnapps and putting your hand down my pants."

Lance fights a bull in Mexico on their Cancun vacation (canon, for those of you keeping score at home)! And it's not tacky at all because Betty's honesty to the pairing makes it loving but not forgivingly so. There's banter, there's true love, but it's not hearts and flowers - it's messy and complicated and they both need to realize different things to make it work between them. There's a lot of affection in this piece but it's also very, very sexy, very much among the ranks of Hottest Fics Ever. Lance as a slut for Joey? Please sir, may I have more than I could ever possibly hope to handle.

In other news, I packed up almost my entire dorm room in four hours today, can't possibly love Showstoppers!Lance more than for the blush it elicits from him now, and had a pleasant dinner with my mum who thinks Colin Farrell is as swank as we do. Lots o' driving tomorrow and festivities with Miranda because we haven't seen each other in two days yo, and that's just way too long.
