Day Nineteen

While not one of his finer sartorial moments, that grin is pure joy. Theme, do we detect a theme, anyone? Yeah, basically, I'm a big easy sucker for this boy's smile. Look at him! Don't you want to do everything within your power to make him happy like that?

Justin swallows. "Hey, but, abstinence, that's when you don't get off, right? So I haven't broken any rules yet."

Chris eyes him thoughtfully, then turns his head to meet Joey's eye. "Whaddya think?"

"You gonna bet him?" Joey says, and Chris grins.

"Hoo, no, we're all gonna do it. A hundred bucks each. Winnings go to the guy who lasts longest."

"A thousand," Justin says, and Chris looks back at him, raises his eyebrows. "Hey, gotta make it worth my while, man."

"If you're that confident, make it ten thousand," Chris retorts, and Justin meets his gaze head on, confident and dark blue and just a little drunk.

"Deal," he says, nodding once, then reaching for his beer.

Am I original in reccing this? Hell no. Should it happen to be the rec that puts you over the edge, then it was well worth it.

In other news, I wish dearly that people would stop feckin' spoiling Order of the Phoenix. So maybe there's stuff that everyone knows but you know, maybe I don't, and just maybe, I like it that way. Sigh. If the news weren't so entertaining lately, I wouldn't watch any television.

Ran all around town this morning on errands. Chatted up a cool English clerk at the Hollywood Barnes & Noble, where apparently they *are* throwing a party and Channel 10's invited themselves, so tomorrow's festivities will be had there. Cooped up in Starbucks with the added bonus of having remembered that it is an entirely different season in there and read Philosopher's Stone for a good hour or so. Lost myself in Toys 'R Us to not much avail, then had excellent pizza-topped evening with Jon. It's like I got a life or something! *g*
