Wherein I got inside (!), got down then up on a subwoofer, and as it turns out, photographed along the way. )

And the WireImage photo. Hot damn! I had no clue my boobs looked that good in that shirt! Note to self. I'm the one inside the thinner white circle on the left wearing the red sleeveless top with my arms up. [livejournal.com profile] giddyupnow is in the blue right next to me on the left.

I woke up at 10:30 despite only having had four hours of sleep absolutely unable to stay in bed a second longer. It's a wonder I got to sleep at all, but that should attest to just what a number four hours of dancing will do to you. A was mostly awake as well, luckily, and joined me on the sofa beneath the window I'd opened, having heard suspiciously soundcheck-y noises coming from across the street. Sure enough, the musical acts were rehearsing, so we sat and basked in the sunshine and warm breeze for a while before rallying to get ready for the day.

Having never listened through any of their albums in their entirety, A decided to remedy that over the course of our morning routines. We were up through 1/3 of No Strings before heading out this morning, and sure enough it looped in my brain for the rest of the day.

Now, policy isn't normally to walk around in a tube top, but I was hoping to even out some of the finger-shaped burns on my back where I couldn't properly reach on Tuesday. A and I walked down to Jerry's Diner for breakfast, enjoyed plenty of our cute, attentive waiter, and caught a cab to the beach. We ran into [livejournal.com profile] isilya, [livejournal.com profile] grrleloquence, [livejournal.com profile] plum_evil, and [livejournal.com profile] edie22 who had joined them last night, camped out on some rocks near the "venue" in lieu of walking all the way down the beach where the line ended. When it did come time to go inside, A wasn't hassled at all thanks to her ingenious smuggling skills, and we even had time to grab shirts and programs before finding our very temporary seats (we were across from the players and had plenty of room to move down. Prime piece of real estate, the seats we eventually claimed as our own.)

Let the "Skills" Challenge begin.

As Skills started about an hour late, we didn't get back to our room until around six. Tired but giddy, we showered (yet again - we averaged about two a day. Have we mentioned I veto summer in Florida?) and decided to take ourselves out on the town for dinner. This involved "calling down" for my car, since the hotel uses a parking garage nearby and valets everyone's vehicles. I felt all weird and vaguely snooty doing it.

Bayside was just back across the Intracoastal Waterway Bridge, so we hopped on down, checked out some of the shops, and eventually settled on this lovely little Italian place on the water. There was salsa music playing audibly from the open club down the way from us, and I lamented my simultaneous love for the style and utter lack of ass-shaking ability to properly move to it. So it goes. Our food was delicious, despite the fact that I ordered Cream of Broccoli and didn't realize they had instead served me Chicken Soup until I'd finished the entire bowl. Turns out I was so distracted by the events of the day, the celery (which did feature prominently in the soup) had become broccoli in my head.

Uhm, yes. Moving right along.

We enjoyed the sights and sounds of Collins Avenue on the crawling ride back to the hotel. It was mostly midnight by the time we ambled back upstairs, but we did manage to get about two CDs' worth of footage traded before calling it a night.
