About three people, myself included, dressed up. I got a couple of "nice outfit"s though, and been amused at the few whispered Harry Potter comments as I passed.

They are, however, wrong. Let's see if y'all can do better at figuring out what I'm supposed to be:

-wearing a white Oxford shirt, black slacks, brown loafers, and a maroon/gold-striped tie (I pass by a group of faculty who eat lunch outside the Health Science building every day and the only one of them who knew how to knew how to tie one was also the only man at the table)
-carrying a Starbucks cup, Chai Latte with soy milk inside (highly recommended, btw)
-scribbling in a glittery notebook
-while singing Roxanne under my breath

I am dork enough for three. The messenger bag and blowdried hair are standard accessories, but they added that much more to the ambiance.

On another note, there were a couple of thug-ish boys in a yellow lowrider sport scar in the parking lot on my way home. What, you may wonder, were they blasting from their excessive sound system? Trashin' the Camp. And that ain't no lie.

Either because I'm horrified or morbidly intrigued. So, fright or embarrassment, take your pick.

ExpandHonestly, what do you do with things like this? )

These may possibly have scarred me more than the Bassez Halloween pictures, but not by much.

[ETA: These are apparently not entirely new, but you know, haven't seen them, first shock and all. That, and I spent a good amount of time contemplating my all!girl!Sync story today, so the coincidence alone is weirding me out.]

I set aside working on my site because there's no justifying not going out on Halloween night. Maybe it's snooty of me, but free alcohol and mediocre clubs don't push my buttons, so Miranda and I went downtown for some coffee. However, Starbucks had changed their hours and so it was to Denny's instead. We hadn't done that in a while, so, good times.

Once there, I decided one costume for the day wasn't enough. So I took off the tie, undid the first two fastenings of my shirt, spread my legs about three feet apart, slouched down in my seat, and ordered their Fabulous French Toast.

Care to take a guess at that one? ;)

Happy Halloween, y'all.
