Manic nothin', man.
Nov. 7th, 2003 12:25 pmIt's Friday-but-really-Saturday because of Homecoming. We don't have Gator Growl tickets yet, but really though, if I left my windows open the only thing we'd be missing is the lame skits.
The SPJ president's speech about the Patriot Act last night was scary. Even scarier have been the articles on the Iraqi war I've been perusing all morning. I sometimes forget how sanitized CNN is.
Betty talks feminism and exploitation here. There's a surprisingly small amount of this kind of discussion for a liberal campus. Her post is also a lot more accessible than much of the literature I've come across on the topic.
Justin cleaned up at the MTV Europe Awards and was a handsome class act doing it, neither of which comes as any news or surprise. Speaking of reading, I found my first occurrence of Britney being referenced as Justin's ex. What a difference a year makes, eh?
It should come as a surprise to no one that I live for the 80s. Well, its music in any event. Food shopping tonight, Revolutions at some point this weekend as well as laundry, yet more article and essay writing and Britney's Behind the Music, which hopefully can only be less tacky than the commercials promoting it.
Also, Jive needs to give me final good reason to take this icon out of rotation. Until then, let's do our part instead.
