I was the first to know and congratulate, but it bears repeating -
walkingshadow is going to England for the summer, an amazing opportunity - big kudos and well wishes to her.
Casey and I briefly wondered yesterday morning if having Jamal on our cover a minimum of five times this semester and the several editorials endorsing the Access party constituted a significant enough bias to have thrown the election. Ultimately, we decided we didn't care.
JC's Blender interview. I'm loving the discussions about what new canon was brought up and the kinds of backstories people are already tossing around for him from the callous dismissal of his mother's question to linking the needle phobia and drug aversion back to something there, too, and just this wealth of fascinating new canon and characterization I hope will shake up the post-Celebrity JC who's had his run for much too long.
Okay, Justin and Cameron hanging around on the set of her new movie? There's no disputing the cute.
I'm to understand Billeh sang the quintessential Britney standard today? Which is downright marvy, but alas, the musical moment of the day has already been laid claim to, and I [heart] Eminem and his brilliant mind more than you know. About busted a lung from laughing so hard.
The week being as good as over, Miranda and I hit the town with intent last night and had every frou-frou drink on the Friday's menu - Mudslide, Margarita, Long Island Iced Tea, and Midori Sour. We're such girls, but girls with pleased tastebuds.
Signed up for JC's Dancestar USA gig with Seatfillers. So exciting! I'd totally do this event even without the sparkly bonus. Fatboy Slim! Paul Oakenfold! The Crystal Method! Plus more B-list celebrities than I've ever yearned for in one place! It all sounds fab.
Today came and went. My mom sounded the happiest anyone I've ever given news to upon hearing I'll be home tomorrow, and for that reason alone I'm glad I decided to do that. Swung by Al's, always a good time, and traded him a copy of JC's album for the new Norah Jones, Whiskey & Co. (country punk!) and new Air! Miranda and I won't be hurting for music when we're driving town together for the first time - we've gone as far as Tampa and Orlando, but never quite the home stretch. We're even swinging by O-town for lunch with
flytoflight! Should be good times.
