tell me what you like
Jul. 22nd, 2004 12:34 amMmm. Chocolate covered gummy bears, where have you been all my life? Best stuff ever.
Which is to say,
giddyupnow is here, and she brought Californian candy. But more importantly, she brought herself, and my brother fixed my car, and all of that meant oogobs of shopping fun at the Wellington Metropolis. There was even some JC in Nine West! She Got Me of all things, too. Long but ridiculously productive day whiled away for shirts, shoes, cute dresses, some questionable skirts and a lot of fun. You'll all be proud to know I resisted the Gryffindor polo shirt and acquired something so much classier than myself to wear to one of the, did we mention three!!! parties this weekend, I'm not sure I'm worthy. We'll see.
We also discussed strategic smuggling of electronics over dinner and came up with something of a game plan that was tantamount to most any other time - we try our best, hope we get the lazy/lenient security person, but have a time of it whichever way the wind blows.
Apparently, somewhere in the world, there exists some evidence of Alfonso Cuaron calling Remus Lupin your gay uncle who does smack. Died, people, *died* of the funny. Links?
For the record, it's rained every.single.day from 1-4 in the afternoon for the past four days. Without fail. It was by the grace of God Himself that we didn't leave looking like drowned rats from Skills last year, but I'm not holding my breath for any miracles this time around.
I'm actually starting to get caught up on fandom news. There's light at the end of the tunnel! Many thanks to all the wonderful people who host stuff/post pictures/relay news, today and every day, but yeah, not so much feeling too on the outs anymore.
