take it from me
Aug. 13th, 2004 02:56 am10th - JC is performing on the Great Wall of China...
11th - but not at a politically motivated event back home.
10th - Justin and Cameron are engaged, allegedly confirmed by reps of the former...
11th - Denydenydeny
10th - Yet more increasingly nebulous reunion prospects from Johnny...
11th - until JC goes on the record to say yes but "not in the immediate future," and in *NSYNC time, that may well be by the time my kids are their target demographic
Thus endeth the lesson of why one should update one's LJ daily.
In other non-time-sensitive fandom news, our future may hold a book of poetry by JC, a prospect I choose to receive with an open mind as to whether it'll make me laugh or cry. The album was approved by the People's Congress of China, and that's the most that's ever been said about anything else (read: our newfound Puritanism) without addressing it directly. Also, we once again find occasion to say, Oh, JC.
As far as Nick's hair, I've been content to sit back and watch others' horror unfold.
In local news, this is the second Bonnie-named storm in my thirteen years in the Sunshine State, and they've yet to name one after me. *hmph* As far as preparations, this far south they've got us trained into complacency - nothing above a strong Category Two storm gets the shutter/plywood treatment. As of right now though, my area has had no weather to speak of all day, a sure sign there's something in the air.
In amusing news, Longshot was on television today, and my mom and brother got home early enough to watch the last half hour with me. I happily chattered away and pointed out the boys as they came onscreen and tried to think of anyone in the pop business left out of the cast. Anyhow, my mom had occasion to ask when the movie was made. "Well, Joey's hair is red, so around 1999." They both turned to look at me. "What? It was red when they were promoting No Strings, which was released in 2000." From their reactions, it didn't help my case.
In inane quiz news, that picture of Jessa and Joey should've caused some sort of cosmic paradigm shift, as they're one and the same (or so says QuickKwiz). But then again, it also says I'm going to have a fling with
sassygurl before marrying
valiumbitch, who'll eventually leave me brokenhearted, after which it'll take five disastrous matrimonials before coming to my senses and ending up sharing a flat with Miranda. Personally,
fuskeez being Justin made the most sense out of all of it.
In non-fandom, non-local, non-amusing news, this made me want to lay flowers at Ben Franklin's grave and beg forgiveness on the part of myself and everyone who stood idly by for letting things get to that point.
