why yes, I do say
Sep. 30th, 2004 05:19 amFirst order of business, and of the first order indeed, is birthday salutes to one illustrious
popfantastic. Hope it was a good one in the tumult of everything else.
Today could rightly go down in the books as Windfall Day, as between complimentary burritos and drinks at Chipotle, free sessions at the Tan Gator, and postponement of my Law exam, they were just throwing it at me left and right. The Chomp the Vote kids even saved me postage on my change-of-address voter form. Whoo!
walkingshadow and I brainstormed my Web site project, a much more confounding undertaking than I'd first anticipated, over some Union grub, then took in the Cardio Blast class at 8:30, which I'll be remembering for a good, long time to come.
Man.
Sunday: Faaahbulous homemade dinner of curry and Hypnotiq drinks over a Star Trek mini-marathon with
silenfire and Miranda.
Monday: Sushi at Dragonfly, where we left filled also with the pure contentment such things bring about, and ice cream at Coldstone, which is never anything less than a Good Decision.
Tuesday: Lunch at Cafe Gardens with talk of slashy wizardly love and The Impossible Plotpoint, and the generally fantastic company of Ri and M. And Emily actually made some of my corrections! Wonders never ceased this week, truly.
Wednesday: Miranda and I danced as the Beatles serenaded me with their version of the birthday song. Celebratory feast at Friday's where the entire waitstaff, despite the fact that Miranda and I were the last ones out, sent up an enthusiastic birthday salute for myself and our waitress, with whom I share both day and age.
Thursday: Road trip with
without_me,
giddyupnow, and
go4it, with one
coolwhipdiva at the end of it.
Friday, Saturday: Lance!
Can I turn twenty-two every week?
Also, happened upon the first receptionist willing to see sense in the fact that there's no helping someone else picking up my mail when said parcel is a fresh Junior's cheesecake packed with only enough dry ice to last it on the journey here and not for another four days thereafter, no matter how en route from Mississippi I will be to pick it up on Sunday.
Quote of the Day:
"Have fun. Make out with Lance."
-Staci, wishing me well for the weekend
[ETA:
raaone - Yes, I do think you covered just about everything. *g* Right back at you, love.]
