As you may have noticed, I've had a bit of dramarama going on in my life this past week or so and consequently have not touched LJ in as long. But catching up has been accomplished, and one of these days I'll respond to all my delinquent comments, but at the moment, necessary ambition needs to be channeled into work and oh, you know, a final exam somewhere in there. But let's all take a moment to sum up the week in fandom in a single flippant paragraph.
JC ogles girls in hotel lobbies while rumors of his getting engaged fly; Chris has taken to singing the National Anthem solo when he's not taking in Destiny's Child concerts with Lance, who seems to once again be spending an extended bender of a time in LA; Joey's partying on the New York scene doesn't seem to have mellowed despite those rumors of a wedding I heard somewhere back there, and Justin continues to elude anyone with any sort of recording device.
There's so much to work and write and speculate in there, I really hope y'all have been holding up your end.
One of these days, I really ought to do a Week in Pictures sort of recap. Because Harry looks really eerie and haunting in anime, and Tom Felton should smile all the time, and Alan Rickman is apparently in The Lion King (Waheh?) but none of those items come across as well flat on the page as they do in living color. Shall contemplate.
Miscellaneous news: The Willy Wonka trailer is the most exquisite crack ever. Tim Burton's brain ought to be preserved in the name of science. The Lost kids read fanfic out loud over dinner. Colin Farrell will guest on Scrubs because he's mates with Zach Braff! Also, he and Lindsay Lohan from this past Saturday's SNL may be my fake celebrity couple indulgence.
Quotes of the Week:
"If Pete had told me that Legolas was gonna be naked, I'd have stripped off & skipped a jingo. ... At this point, Pete could've said that Aragorn grabs Legolas & tongues him & I'd have thought, 'Oh that makes sense.'"
- Orlando Bloom
"Schizophrenic/JC Chasez (Jive) - "Schizophrenic" is the kind of solo album that Justin Timberlake might've made if he had any balls. ...juggling a variety of styles and artistic influences - mostly from the '80s - with the abandon of the unmedicated...
- Barnes & Noble (although to be fair, the fact that JC is going with the celebrity girlfriend/high-profile producer route this time around may be antithesis to his getting such kudos for the follow-up)
