Upon reading others' accounts, apparently it was Lonnie with JC on Saturday night. Hey, if there's one member of the boys' security team to have (hopefully) endeared myself to, it would be him. *g* I am such a dork.

We watched All the President's Men in PoliSci today. Mmm. Robert Redford was quite the hottie with that shaggy hair, man. Oh, right, and the film was pretty cool, too, all that journalistic integrity and investigating that seem, lamentably, to be all but passe nowadays. They looked so sexy doing it.

Done! I'm done, promise. Moving right along...

Note to self: Jingle Ball tickets go on sale Saturday morning. JC! Performing! *squee* I'm excited about Lance's blackjack dealing for puppies gig, too, but will have to live that one vicariously. Good times to all who are attending.

Apparently, Blowin' Me Up was #1 on Kasey's countdown, a detail which confused me too because I'd previously thought It's Gonna Be Me was their only #1 hit. Or that might just be a BillBoard statistic. As my professor would say, we're journalists because we don't like numbers.

The Joe Schmo Show finale was all right. I don't know if the "coming out" ceremony was done to the best effect, but Matt really was fantastic through the whole thing and played it as well he's done everything else. Good man, and good thing he came out okay on the other side.

The Marlins are World Series champions and the Revolutions premiere was tonight. I am a bad journalism student, as the former is moldy news and the latter is something I just should've been up on.

As mentioned before, because the picture really should be seen, behind the cut is...

the best magazine cover ever:

Well, we were entertained, in any event.

[ETA: If you need RMA or Guavaween footage, I may have started my day off by tracking those down. As well as some other, older stuff, but haven't seen it = new to me and all that. As always, feel free to hit me up on AIM.]

Footage is always of the good. But that picture. Ohmygod... that's just too funny. I think that's a newspaper I am going to subscribe to because that's the "real" news. Heh. Thanks for the laugh.

I laughed so hard my sides hurt. The Weekly World News has its moments, and this was definitely one of their greatest hits.

Why not, right? If you can buy organs there, why not priceless artifacts that stand to topple civilization as we know it?

*hopes JC performs at LA's Jingle Ball too*

When JC was introducing Kasey, I didn't realize he was talking about his song until later, lol. I thought he meant it in the general sense like, "That's my song!" I am such a nerd.

Would it be too much trouble to ask you if you could please send me the Guavaween footage in an e-mail? I have trouble downloading files through AIM, although I can send them without any problems. My computer is just wacky that way. (fucking_jc@livejournal.com) If not, no problem, just thought I would ask :)

South Florida. Sunrise, Office Depot Center, same venue as Justin when he came for Striptified and this year's Challenge. December 14th, lots of other cool acts, too. Can you make it?

And see, that's the very reason why I was puzzled, because he sounded like he meant his song. But Blowin' Me Up was a bigger than I thought it was, and how cool for JC. :)

I got them from here. My e-mail is really picky about attachments and doesn't allow me to send any decent-sized ones. I'm fairly certain those links are still good, but let me know if you don't have any luck with it.

And Jingle Ball tickets go on sale Saturday? Damn, I may be on my way to Atlanta then.

Aaaw, you should come! These boys and their random appearance schedules. I bet they have a huge map of the States and just blindly point somewhere when it's time to make an appearance. ;) Have you been traveling much on their account lately?

This is good fun at the expense of bad people. Usually, celebrities want to avoid the publicity that disputing these claims in a courtroom brings to them, and the stories in this particular publication are utterly without merit anyway. They don't even try to pretend. ;)

I bought a ticket! (The Internet Presale is going on now!!!)

As for traveling, hmmm. This weekend I'm going to Atlanta to see Nick and Brian. I was at CFTC in July, and June was Nashville for the Lance Love. I did, however, manage to forgo Mississippi. Somehow. I've tried to stay within driving distance this year, but last year included trips to Orlando (Celebrity Tour, CFTC), New Jersey (Celebrity Tour), and New York (Joey in RENT).

Ooh. You're the lucky girl with that lickable!JC icon. 'Tis a mighty pretty one.

And meep! Presale! Unfortunately, it doesn't matter for me, as there is no way I will be paying floor seat prices. Like, not even vaguely. But I'll definitely be there.

The country music festival, was it, in Nashville? How cool. I never actually came across any accounts of what Lance said at the panel, just lots of striptease pictures. ;)

O.O ::blinks owlishly:: oh. goodness. thank you.

by the way, i didn't mean any offence by the little skit. i was hyper and caffienated and my brain does weird things under those circumstances ::sheepish grin::.

say, do you like Jet?

Dude, it's cool, I totally didn't take it seriously. Sarcasm so rarely comes across in just plain text. :)

Jet?

From: [identity profile] go4it.livejournal.com
Oh, I like the pretty colors in your icon. The boy's not bad either. ;-)

I pulled up a floor seat, but I couldn't justify paying that much for a brief appearance (although I do like some of the other acts too). Anyway, I managed to get a good (I think) lower level seat for half that price, so it's all good. It appeared that all seats were on sale.

The Nashville thing was very cool. If you're interested, I did jot down some notes in my journal back in June. I'm not a frequent poster, so they're maybe a couple of pages back. :-)

Jet is a group. they're new out, but they're old-school rock style. their single is "Are You Gonna Be My Girl." it's awesome, have you ever heard it?

From: [identity profile] gjstruthseeker.livejournal.com
Ditto for me on the floor seats and liking others acts. That's what I was opting for, too, the $50 seats. Where's yours? It's looking like Section 102 for me, but I can call the venue or keep looking.

I'll make sure to check that out. Lance! Talking about something he loves! There was so little keeping me from going to Houston for that space panel.

I haven't, no. I don't listen to much radio, so my new music exposure is pretty much MTV, which is sad, but so it goes.

well, it does have a video, and it does get fairly good play, but it's more than possible you've never seen it.

Heh. If I'd gotten that ticket last night, I would've been *directly* behind you. :) I'm thinking this will be my experiment event, where I hold out and try to see what kind of day-of ticket I can get. So count me in for going, but I have no idea where in the venue I'll be for it.

With as few videos as MTV shows nowadays, I'm not surprised. If you've got an mp3 of the song, could you hit me up on AIM sometime?

Date: October 31st, 2003 03:41 pm (UTC)
From: [identity profile] http://users.livejournal.com/_dragon_/
i can do neither, unfortunately. i could upaload the song to my computer, but i have no idea how to save as an mp3 or a wav or anything. and if i could, i don't have AIM because it messes with my computer. which sucks well and thoroughly, but ::shrugs::.

The Best Friend told me about it this morning and said that we ought to go... hell, we flew to Chicago for Nick so why not Florida for JC? What's the ticket situation?

And, by the way, who are the boys in your default icon? It's adorable.

Date: November 4th, 2003 03:20 am (UTC)
From: [identity profile] gjstruthseeker.livejournal.com
Ticket situation is $100 for floor and the best side view seats, $50 for okay seats, and $20-$30 for higher up. I'm not going to pay $100 just to hear him play a couple of songs, but definitely going to invest in some of the mid-price ones and a good pair of binoculars.

Heh. The boys in the icon are in fact *NSYNC. It's a still from their 1999 BillBoard Music Awards performance of Just Got Paid. Fantastic show, however unfortunate the initial costume of trenchcoats may have been.

From: [identity profile] tallories.livejournal.com
Oh wow, I really really want to go! :-) How's the weather down there in December?

And, as unfortunate as the trenchcoats indeed are... I meant, who are the boys in this icon of yours?

December should cool down to 50s during the night and 60-70s during the day. It's pretty temperate.

*giggle* They're Lance and Joey. The text is lyrics from the title track to On the Line. In case it hasn't been glaringly obvious, I'm a JoLa girl to the core. Love them! And they love each other! So much! *melt*

That's Lance? His hair looks curly!

Date: November 9th, 2003 07:06 am (UTC)
From: [identity profile] gjstruthseeker.livejournal.com
His hair does look somewhat odd. It's probably the messing with the colors that Miranda did as well as the fact that it wasn't a high quality picture before and Lance's hair is frosted. But actually, if you look at especially recent pictures, Lance's hair does seem to have something of a wave to it.

Honestly, when I first saw the picture I thought it was Clay Aiken with Justin's hairdo. ;-)
