Note to self: no more facilitating friends who make anything seem possible.

See, I'd resigned myself to sit out the Los Angeles House of Blues show. Sure I know people out there and as amazing as it would be to see JC in that setting, he will be performing at Y100's Jingle Ball and I'm sure the club tour will eventually wind its way down here (though maybe not *shakes fist at Justin*). Close enough, anyway.

And Lance dealing blackjack in Santa Monica that very weekend. Now, that wasn't ever even a consideration - $200 for VIP tickets so I can have a chance to spend even more at the tables? Not on my budget.

In the span of exactly ten minutes, some intimations of truly impressive connections, and alluding to the prospect of being able to say, "Hit me, baby" to Lance, she had me scouring the web for even mildly reasonable airfare.

Amusingly enough, I found a flight that:
-departs from Orlando
-has a layover in Memphis
-has another layover in Detroit
-before arriving in Los Angeles

I'm still giggling. I'm also insane for even thinking I could miss three days of the last week of classes. This somehow is not stopping me from exhausting my online booking resources.

Hopefully the higher brain functions and better senses will return by morning, but for now it all seems much too feasible. Good thing there won't be anything in my bank account to begin to cover it before Tuesday. It's a very sensible turn of events, like the requisite waiting period for firearms. I fear, however, that in the end I'll be deemed physically able, mentally competent, and financially solvent enough to make it happen.

I just found out that it's three shows, yeah, so any doubts are officially out the window.

I'm flying out of Orlando, which is about two hours south of Gainesville, which is where I go to school at the University of Florida. So, a bit of a ride. *g* I love planes though, flying too, so it's just the cost that's mildly prohibitive.

What a week indeed. The October 25th through November 1st one still holds the record, but this stands to topple all. JC! Full-set club shows! I seriously would've flown to Vegas if I'd known about the show with any kind of timeliness, but eee! Three shows. That's. I just.

I bought my ticket through Orbitz, and they gave me a great deal. Travel cost was my main concern, too.

I will indeed be at all three shows, whee! Hm, Orbitz. Good call. I'm shopping around as we speak, but any way I slice it it's looking to be about $200, which, yeah, pretty standard.
