i don't even remember why i suddenly had the urge to go see sorority boys. i mean, i had been seeing promos for it for the past few weeks and was totally put off - insipid teen movie, transparent plot, formulaic characters, physical, tasteless comedy - i was not enthralled.
and then, somewhere in there, i caught both an episode of 'Smallville' and a brief interview with Michael Rosenbaum, Lex Luthor of the same. while neither of these thigns made a terribly conscious impression on me, i do believe it was downhill from that. by friday i knew i needed to laugh and be supremely entertained, and barring a few overly crude jokes, i certainly was. D(elta).O(micron).G(amma).catcher. the walk of shame. kok-tail cruise. boys in dresses pretending to be sorority girls no less and being hit on by their own frat brothers. i walked out positively giddy with glee and unabashed enjoyment of fish-out-of-water humor. all the laughter and hysteria totally decimated the funk i'd been under all week. thanks boys.
