KC and the Sunshine Band are doing Get Down Tonight on Craig Kilborn's show. It's making me nostalgic for getting up at 6:30 my first morning in New York and walking the couple of blocks to Rockefeller Center for the Today show taping. It was Disco in the Plaza week and they performed. Fantastic fun.
CNN interviewed people in Times Square yesterday, and all I noticed were the snow flurries. Two days! Two days and I'm back in the big city. I'll have an entire day to romp before the insanity of the 19th. I might even check out RENT, and maybe even drag Schiz to PopRocks or Suede. *g* Or you know, we'll go skating and shop for our very own Burberry scarves, it's all good.
I've got nothing new to say about JC's Steve Madden appearance pictures than what's already on the record. *loves* I'm telling you, Joey's gotta start watching his Ham of the Group title.
The mall was again a fruitful venture. Got lots of thin, long-sleeved undershirts (I officially own something from Hollister, including the brightest little red ski cap ever) and the best-fitting pair of jeans in a long time. My heart continues to weep that I am neither the ideal size or have the ideal budget for an entirely Abercrombie & Fitch wardrobe, but such is life. I like having boobs, most days.
Not that I'm getting sick, but I've lost the top end of my register and gained an overall fullness to my voice. It's the singular good aspect of such events. But not now! Seriously, the vile little cooties can have all two weeks of my intersession if they'll just give me this coming week. Please?
I had to get some History of Journalism notes from a classmate, Hannah. She totally remembered I was missing class because I was going to a concert in California and asked me questions about how it was, the music, and even JC himself. She's not into *NSYNC or Justin at all but listened raptly to my enthused babbling about 80s rock and JC's performance ethic and his bridges. She commented later that I didn't once mention anything about his ohmygodsquee!-worthy hotness. Don't get me wrong, baby, but I don't fly cross-country twice in one month just to look at a boy, no matter how cute.
Did the no roommate production (there's a song and dance) when I got home - Miranda teases that it's like Jules' boarding house in here. And I'm so easy to live with!
