So, I'm sitting here at work.

A big thank you to everyone who wished me well. *hugs you all* I appreciate the kudos and support more than you know.
There is a sizeable mountain of pizza boxes stacked in the trash bin across the room - I'd apparently just missed the party, but that's okay since Miranda and I had time to grab food after Big Fish (to sum up: very pretty storytelling but nothing profound. And I might be a little in love with Ewan McGregor.) Two stories and three editorial columns so far, plus my own Alligator style guide (because one stylebook is one too few) and about a half-inch stack of paperwork to fill out. A W-4! I'm filling out my first W-4!
Basically, everything is terribly exciting right now.
The people are friendly if engrossed in their own work, and almost all the boys in the office, including Cameron the managing editor, are cute, which makes for a tres sympa working environment.
Oh yes, the substitution of French phrases into my everyday speech is well underway. I was conjugating verbs in my head on the way to Editing the other day to keep my attention off the cold. Mind over matter, baby.
I'm to come in during the day sometime this week to meet with The Publisher Upstairs.
*twiddles thumbs*

*sits on hands*
Until I get home, anyway.
