And the day is barely halfway over!

Dude! Great classes, the boy kisses as fantastically as I remember, a Bernie Mac luau at the office, and now, new JC clips! The month of January has apparently been designated as one big party.

100 Ways. Oh man, this track rocks my socks. It's She's A Lady except sleazed up and mastered by Prince. Love it. Boy continues to be the campiest talent in the industry today.

Also, was I the only one snickering when he talked about being Superman? Wonder whose kink that one realized... *g*

Personally, I don't like the mastered version of Build My World. It might be from listening to the live version for so long and often, but I prefer that one infinitely.

I didn't vibe with Mercy, which to be completely honest sounds more than a little like Love Don't Love Me, then becomes Blowin' Me Up-ish at the beginning of the chorus. However, no complaints about the repetition of 'mercy.' The boy's voice is pure sex.

And, of course, still loving hard on She Got Me, though I prefer the live version of that one as well.

Whee!

I enjoyed the Superman line, as one of my screen names is LoisLaneForJoey LMAO! for ezboard, not here LOL.

I wasn't feeling Mercy either

You clearly need to listen to Mercy again. Cuz seriously, it's the shit. :)

Mercy grew on me, mostly because of his voice. Because oh god, it's wonderful. But I totally agree on that LDLM comparison in the beginning, which made me tense up, because I do *not* like LDLM. But then after that opening, the voice took over. Mmmm.

I do know you use that name, yes. *g* And as for Mercy, it's slinky and cool, and desperation coming from JC is always sexy, but the track is neither something I can sing along with, nor shake my ass to. *shrug* See, I can still muster some objectivity!

It's a very slinky, cool tune, but like I told Jen, neither something I can sing along with, nor something I'm compelled to shake my ass to. It didn't grab me in its own special way the way that all of JC's other songs have. *shrug* Just me though.

I understand. I like when you shake your ass. *eg*

Oh, not disputing anything positive people have had to say about JC's voice, which makes me shivery and happy. But the track itself, I just wasn't feeling the vibe. I'm thinking a slinky video with some due angsty writhin on bedsheets would do the trick though. *g*

[identity profile] fuskeez.livejournal.com 2004-01-23 01:51 pm (UTC)(link)
Mhm. I think that would work on just about anyone! :)

Hey--I was just wondering where you got the clips. I'm dying to hear, and having problems finding them.

I got it from the official site and a couple of people on my friendslist. If you still need them, I'm online right now and can do AIM transfers - MoonBrat42.
