and what they see is me watching you

It's the writing time of my month, and I consequently spent the morning in Einstein's, drafting questions for a fantasy interview with JC. As a point of pride, my most teenie question so far has been "What do you sing when there isn't anyone around to hear it," with the option of alluding to any Risky Business-style antics that may involve.

*idly ponders using her press credentials*

Do you ever have imaginary conversations? Not out loud, just in your head, with someone whom you may never get to actually have it?

Now, I advocate reading [livejournal.com profile] valiumbitch as a general rule, but this recent entry made me laugh and love so hopelessly, I had to share. Let me know when you find that copy of "A British Accent, A Great Career and Fantastic Sex: Three Easy Steps To Achieving It While You Sleep," baby.

If you're all really unlucky, I might make good on some idle ponderings of a singing phonepost.

All the time. Documentaries, usually.

Oh, good. Even before I started the newspaper gig, I used to have whole imaginary conversations with all sorts of different people. Uh, good practice? Anyway, good to know I'm not alone. And it's not like they were always about Things of Consequence, you know, not like I discussed nuclear policy with the head of the U.N. Security Council, but things as mundane as cereal with Justin in that aisle of the grocery store, for example.

Uh, mostly, see icon.

if you want to enjoy yourself at a britney spears concert, you gotta be prepared to love the good parts and love the bad parts more.

Bingo.

While I agree with the sentiment, I don't follow how that came from the post...

Yes. All the time, actually. It can be entertaining ^_^.

I'm so very happy to not feel quite so nutty anymore. ;)

It's not nutty at all. In fact, I think it's actually pretty common. Especially amongst writers, I would imagine; a group which we are both a part of ^_^.

I had one, where it was an interview situation with Billy Boyd and Dom Monaghan, and I asked them what was one of the strangest things they'd seen in the US, and they said those giant-size "Texas" blueberry muffins, and talked about how Billy had never seen a muffin that big and Dom liked to use them as paperweights and all kinds of things. And then I realized, wait a second, I'm making up a conversation with hobbits about blueberry muffins, and felt like a big dork.

So, yeah, you are not alone, even on the breakfast food count.
