Euro!Sync pictures (1/6)
May. 23rd, 2004 04:42 pmToday and in the coming days, it will be happy birthday wishes to
rhyssj,
trixiesfic,
tavellafic,
eleanor_lavish, and
poofusgirl. Since I'll be clear across the world and uncertain as to my extent of LJ access, I wanted to give them a shoutout here and now.
However, everyone gets presents.
The following are Euro!Sync photos from an eBay auction I won a while ago. Puppies in all states, from in transit to onstage to awards ceremonies, all Germany-era around 1996/97. Some of these you've seen before, but most are new and a delighful glimpse of their early traipsing through Europe.
While I did scan, crop, and clean them up, the pictures were probably taken by several different people of whom exactly none are me, ergo no tags. There'll be six posts starting with this one, which is miscellaneous "group" (two or more of the boys) shots. Sizes range from 70K to over 200K, and dates have been provided if they appeared on the backs of the photos.
Feel free to link the posts/share as you will, but please don't hotlink the individual pictures. If you do post them elsewhere, some passing credit would be nice, but like I said, I'm just the messenger here. Enjoy.

How Justin is managing to look older than Chris is interesting. He looks smart. It's not a look any fifteen-year-old should have mastered, but there you go.

Joey's penchant for draping warms my heart.

A classic, and for good reason.

May 1997. Painfully obviously.

Yeah, no one's being done any favors in these two. Moving on...

Monkey!Justin makes me smile.

They all look so good! But where, oh where is Lance?

Aah, better. It looks like they're singing on a street, which is sweet to me because in my head, they're obliging some fans who stopped them and asked.

Goofy kid.

He learned from the best.

They don't look like celebrities. They're just a group of friends out for lunch, maybe after homecoming, taking the one picture of the night they actually want to pose for.

Aaw, Joey took Lance! ;)

But he's such an adorably cheeky monkey.

The times those two must've had while they were the same mental age - before Justin grew up.

I've got nothing better to say than that picture already does.

Puppies!

This pictures makes my toes curl with happiness. Look at them!

If memory serves, Jan. 31, 1997.

Mmm, attentive!Chris. As Justin characteristically attempts to seduce the cameraperson.

Look at those smiles!

*squishes them all*

With the singing! *flails* I am so weak for them singing together.

Date: May 23rd, 2004 02:49 pm (UTC)And I'm broken here. Well, technically, I'm screaming, "Babies!", smiling with glee, clutching my heart and mumbling about how young and innocent they all look.
P.S. Lanceissopretty.

Date: May 23rd, 2004 04:17 pm (UTC)So.much.love. Babies in Europe! Taking off to Europe to pursue your wildest dreams with your four best friends by your side must've been bigger than anything any of us can imagine. And the story ends well! So happy to see them having fun in the process, too.

how young and innocent they all look
So green! They're all so unjaded with their open smiles and candidness and happiness! *loves them all*
P.S. Lance is frightfully pretty. But it's good to know there's a handsome man at the end of the tunnel, too.

Date: May 23rd, 2004 04:34 pm (UTC)Such.babies. Goodness!
God, they're so young and hungry, so un-slick.
Isn't it weird? That they were ever that early on into their careers? Even Justin, though JC seems to have always had an odd serenity about him. But yeah, with the hungry and un-slick. Their smiles are what get me, so open and candid and real.
Thank you so much! It's a little scary, and I can't say it wouldn't be better with my four best friends by my side, but should be a grand time.
