Signed up at Seatfiller for the MTV Video Music Awards - as it's gonna be in Miami this year! I'm all out of excitement over the next couple of months, really. July has been, and will continue to be, one big designated party area, and I know this will be a good time in August.

Contributed Hungarian to the my hed iz pastede on, yay! in every language project. Which I think is wonderfully egalitarian and fun, which is a nice simile for Fandom Wank itself. We are, after all, equal in the eyes of the wank.

In catching up, I was delighted to find that mirareeves has been posting fabulously hot pictures of naked rugby players, Jake Gyllenhaal scans, and King Arthur screencaps. *rawr* That Keanu won't deign to add a Canadian leg to his Hellraiser tour of duty is a right shame, and had I the power, he'd be dipped in chocolate and giving her a lapdance as we speak.

This picture rocks like a thing that is all over my desktop right now. Nearly fell out of my chair from laughing so hard the first time I saw that scene.

The psychology test Sorting quiz put me on a Ravenclaw/Gryffindor cusp at 81/80, respectively. I have my Gryffindor moments, but a generally laid-back modus operandi, so who's to say. (Interestingly, I'm also 55/54 on the Hufflepuff/Slytherin cusp at the other end, so make of any and all of this what you will.)

I missed a handwritten journal entry meme?! Loving the idea as much as I do, this will happen.

What project is this, exactly? As one who dabbles in manips that I really attempt to make good, such talk makes me nervous. ;)

This is a project that is attempting to collect the phrase My hed iz pastede on, yay! in every language. It's an inside joke from The Mother Of All Wanks, to which I've been unable to find links. It was a throwaway comment somewhere in the post that spawned eightysomething pages of "discussion." Basically, this girl Crystal was going around manipulating photographs and selling them as her original art on eBay, and she overstepped into ridicule with a picture she posted alleging that the boy lying on her bed in it was Dom Monaghan. Well, it was a manip obviously, and people really took it out on her. I don't know if she was all *that* wank-worthy, but the thing took on a life of its own and became an absolute circus. Someone said the phrase as a punchline to their three-sentence post, and it stuck. Should you wish, I'm sure there are people who can point you to web stores that sell T-shirts, mousepads, and other memorabilia of the event.
