I have a really lot of pictures. In the process of relocating everything to the external drive for the big OS update, I realized that all my memory isn't being taken up by endless remixes of Bye Bye Bye, though those certainly have their place, but rather by heaps upon stacks upon piles upon toppling towers of picture files. I don't want to know how many there need to be to constitute over 15 gigs.

For my own later reading: Anne Rice wankery.

You should check out the entire piece, but how fabulous is this?

November 2010: Britney Spears and Justin Timberlake... record a duet of a dance version of "The Mickey Mouse Club Theme Song" which hits number one on the club charts.

Also, though you may not know this about me, it's never not TimberTrick day around here.

And the tide pool of pop becomes just a little more incestuous. Cool feature though.

And finally, this was very, very cute. Fic on an installment plan! It's only been nine years, yet I can still remember the shiny penny-ness of fandom. The X-Files was very good to me.

This conversation never should've taken place:

Dwayne: Hey, [Jules], how is this written? *points to Chris reference in our Kerry speech story*
Jules: "All caps, asterisk before the N."
Dwayne: "Are you sure?"
Jules: *shoots him an are-you-serious glare, when he listened to me sing along to most of Celebrity over the course of last night. Also, because everyone in this office knows at least that, if nothing else, about me.* "Yes."

Required reading accomplished? Zero pages. Intentions of accomplishing self-assigned pieces including (but not limited to) exposition on angst, finishing PoA and possibly skimming OotP as well, and a rereading of Arcadia? V.v. high. If you're surprised at how astoundingly well-developed my methods of self-handicapping are, you're obviously new here.

Quote of the Day:

"That's pop fandom right here, ladies and gentlemen. Deep thoughts about pyrotechnics and silly string. I heart my fandom."

My Psychotic Ex Boyfriend (PEB) works for the A&L section of the NY Times, and I spent many fruitless months trying to get them to change their standard spelling from 'N Sync to *NSYNC.

First, I love that icon of yours a really lot. Two and a half months earlier and I could've been sitting next to you at the Florida shows. *le sigh* Someday, I will stop lamenting this tragedy.

Second, must we all have a PEB somewhere in our timelines? *shakes head* Men, man. But hey, at least yours had a cool gig! Even if he couldn't be made to see reason. I just don't understand how that spelling ever became popularized. But then, I suppose not everyone is as well-versed in the creation myth (or some version thereof, though they're pretty consistent on the origin and structure of the band name) as most of us.

Thanks for fabulous links, and that whole parody was just precious - esp. loved how Justice's middle name, pre-Federline dumping, is Lynn sans "e". Oh future!fictional!Brit. How I love thee.

It also cheers my heart to see Joe Mul. speak so warmly about Justin.

It's just a Timbertrick kind of life, m'dear.

*dies* Very fabulous. Really scary because it reads like really good fic, the kind where you completely and utterly believe every single word of it, and know, just *know* that's *exactly* how it happened and will happen.

I'm scarred. LOL

I had a conversation like that with my Web editor a Derby or two ago. He had video of Lance for the site, and was playing that on one computer while he pulled up nsync.com on the other and tried in vain to figure out who he was looking at. He was convinced it was Justin. I corrected him. One of the other Web geeks: "You're sure?" Um, yeah. They should all know by now, what with the picture of kilted Lance and kilted Jess(i)e that I keep in my office... ;)

I have a fabulous friends page whose motto seems to be CONSTANT VIGILANCE! Oh, Professor Moody.

Justice! They're gonna name her Justice, and I'm going to cry from laughing so hard. And Lynn! She'll so be Justice Lynn. And yes, Britney will need all the head pats and support we can muster for her rocky future. Poor dear.

Yes! Joe Mulvihill, man, who knew? I mean, we knew he was a good kid, but that article was a whole lot of cool.

Heh. Ain't it just. Hopefully, feuding rumors between one of the Js and one of the Not-Js isn't in that flavor. The tragedy! They're so MFEO, it's killing them both to be apart is what the problem is. Kiss and make up! Publicly!

Yes! That's what's scary is that it reads like plausible fic. But I actually love when that happens, and know several stories I hold near and dear to my heart that are as good as canon so far as I'm concerned, i.e. Betty Plotnick's Mexican Moon.

Oh, silly coworkers. Honestly, there are so few things I'd call myself an expert on, but I'd make that boast about the boys.

*nods in agreement* Hey. Speaking of things... Does Britney have a new single on the radio? I heard a song today that I liked, and it *might* have been her. Or not. Since I suck at things like that.

Besides My Prerogative? She remade that Bobby Brown song and added another soft-core porn video to her repertoire. The song itself is pretty catchy though.

And after more than two years, how do I not have a Britney icon? *shakes head*

Hm, it must've been My Prerogative; Boston radio is kind of lagging, and that song isn't on their top30 list.
