It was just one of those things you know, chatted him up one day in American Government about finance reform, and he brought me a Kerry/Edwards pin last week so I just decided to ask him - could you believe he didn't have a date to the formal yet? I'm a lucky girl, indeed.

Oh, if only for a single dance. But the notion will live happily in my heart.

Alas, dry as Monroe County was, there was much less footloosing and liquid courage-induced shenanigans than ought to be right for such an outing. But there was so much more that was merriment and a half.
