anytime, baby let's go

Help me, [livejournal.com profile] mirareeves, you're my only hope! The SoFla PBS affiliate didn't show the final episode rerun of Regency House Party and I missed it the first time due to being on the road and I neeeeeeeed to know what happened! Did Mr. Fox-Smith and Ms. Davenport live happily ever after in geeky science love? Did anyone finally bag Mr. Gorell-Barnes? Did Miss Hopkins end up with our traveling showman? The questions, they haunts us, precious.

Err, yes. Hello from the boonies of West Palm Beach! Against all odds, I made it here late Wednesday night (early Thursday morning?) and have since been fed "a lot" of food by two sets of parents (and invited to dinner at my third's tomorrow night!) thoroughly snogged two puppies, been gifted with a box of limited edition Godiva Truffles (good GOD, man!) watched my brother jump out of a perfectly good airplane twice (he woke me up this morning and promptly dragged my blind, flustered self to his room to do so) Queer Eye For the Straight Guy (I tell myself it's never as good as I remember because we don't get Bravo at school, but it's all lies) and wore my kickin' new black stilletos for nine hours without tripping once. Whoo!

To still do while at home:
- play Nintendo 64, namely Super Mario World
- go ice skating
- go to the beach, which can be concurrent with...
- have a cheeseburger on Las Olas, y'all know where

You know, I deign say something less than stellar about Tom Hanks, and the next day he's waxing poetic about William Shatner and original Trek on national television. I rescind any and all previous comments.

I owe [livejournal.com profile] saturn92103 an apology for my grievous oversight of Scratch in my woebegone Harry/Snape post earlier. I did like that one very much, at it wasn't abusive to the characters at all, if a touch more melodramatic in parts than I think is necessary. And then I opened my copy of OotP randomly to one of their Occlumency scenes and yeah, nevermind, it's all Rowling on that one.

And on that note, some catching up: Book 6 by mid-2005! JC (whose new album will be "a futuristic look at the past") and Eva are the AMAs' cutest couple and schmooze it up with the Lambs at Chi! There is wrong, and then there are these. And on the topic of wrong, there's my taking an LJ hiatus during [livejournal.com profile] raaone's birthday, which just won't do at all. *snogs* Rach, you're a fabulous and fantastically funny friend, and I'm glad someone was there to serenade you properly.

Shopping list for Black Friday:
- trainers and casual walking shoes (second pair free at Famous Footwear)
- DVDs (namely PoA. And you know, the first two movies while I'm at it *hangs head in shame*) (5 for $25 at Best Buy)
- external hard drive (250GB for $170 at CompUSA! *glee*)
- clothes. Just, yes.

Joy is not needing to be awake at the asscrack of dawn to get any of those deals. Good night!

Quote of the Day:

I am thankful for the words "Yeah," "What?" and "Okay," but not nearly as much as Lil' Jon is.
- from the Best Week Ever blog

P.S. I [heart] Billy Boyd. All the hobbitses, really. But yes, definitely the wee Scottish one right now.

[ETA: Oh, and that Radcliffe chap as well. It's his Christmas card! *dies* Also, Harry's gay uncles in love.]

I watched the last bit of the show today and I missed all the best parts!

The chaperones except for Mrs. Rodgers left the day before everyone else. Mrs. Rodgers throws a masquerade ball for everyone and then let's everyone run off to play. Fox-Smith gets blitzed and sits in his room, slurring his undying love for Lady Devonport. He loves her, he loves her body and loves every second of his time with her. And then he sobs.

The next morning, they catch Miss Braund leaving Glover's room and sneaking back into her room. Gorell-Barnes and the Countess are caught still sleeping together. Heh.

Gorell-Barnes is the last to leave the house. When he says goodbye to his footman, they both cry. N'aww.

!!!

I adore every melodramatic bone in Fox-Smith's body.

Aah, Miss Braund and the good Captain. Bon chance to them both.

Somewhat saw Gorell-Barnes and the Countess thing coming, but hee! Caught! It's a thing I have. So was he putting us on about not fancying anyone?

Was there any kind of epilogue, like asking what everyone thought of their experiences at the manor? So sad to see it all end. It wasn't just a cool concept - I liked the people chosen, too. *sheds a tear* Thanks again for the rest of recap. It's been marvelous. We are watching the next two House series, oui?

No epilogue really. With the exception of Gorell-Barnes, they didn't even show the guests leaving the house. I thought that was a little weird.

Absolutely! I wouldn't miss it. Unless my PBS station decides not to show it. Then I'll just be sad.
