He's so... scripted. Like someone told him what to say, but McKay didn't quite react as Sheppard was told he would, but he kept reading from his script anyway. His inability to read social cues is fascinating.
That's a very good way to describe it, actually. For me, that makes him very intriguing. I love the way those two interact. I thought the show was pretty bad when I watched the first episodes, but then I got sucked into it and now I can ignore the silly parts and just focus completely on the things that I love. And I do love those a LOT. *g*
I also love John McEnroe's costume. Hee! It's both terribly narcissistic AND hilarious.
