Detractors:
He's a self-confessed arrogant showoff.
I don't know if the fact that he came from an all-boys Jesuit school has anything to do with it, but he'll purportedly take anyone with a vagina up on the offer.
He gets a *lot* of offers.
He doesn't need anyone but needs approval from everyone.
He's got a girlfriend.
She's... not his age.
Not that I could judge.
I don't think those are the issues I want to focus on though, so onto:
What Really Matters:
He likes mushrooms on his pizza. As in by themselves.
Think David Julian Hirsh from Leap Years, only younger and (slightly) less egocentric.
He looks even better in glasses.
He's got a gorgeous name.
Look Ehnes, I found one! He's not a boy.
He's got incredible hair, thick and perfect for tangling fingers in and I don't know any of that - see last down in the previous list. Grr morals, grr.
He's not an errant talker either.
I'm fucking crushing on a guy in real life. I can't remember how long it's been. That takes rigorously meeting a ridiculous set of criteria, most of which I myself am still working on figuring out. We're still in the Guh! stage here.
Oh, the part where we met. Football game. Roommate had a ticket, insisted I go. Gators versus Bobcats, the less said about the game the better. Let's just say that after an hour's constant rain the whole thing became a lot more fun to watch. Being out in real, coming-down-in-sheets rain, standing on the 4th row, 45-yard line bleachers and screaming football chants and orchestrating the Wave kicks. The part where you're occasionally huddling with the cute boy because there's no shelter from the accompanying winds? Bonus baby, bonus.
In other news...
Whee! I'm officially going to New York! New muthafuckin' York, baby. Got the eTicket to prove it. $151 round-trip from MIA into JFK - not too shabby a deal. Breakfast of airplane coffee and dismal in-flight snacks the morning of October 25th, dinner at NYLA that same night. With fangirls. Five of them. And then... RENT on Saturday night. And did I mention there is yet *more* media en route to me as we speak? I [heart] Angela.
