From some ghetto field in south Los Angeles! Auditioning five enthusiastic marching bands for Wango Tango!
And *I* am getting to experience it all the way over here a continent away in South Florida, via the marvel of technology that is the cellular telephone!
From what I gathered, he's wearing a handsome sweater despite the early California summer weather, with a bandana hanging out of his back pocket, grooving down to the bands and being completely adorable while saying 'dude' a lot!
And Eeeee! He just requested The Police's Roxanne to be played on the radio!
This phone bill is gonna make three great-ancestral generations of my family cry, and I.don't.care.
Bestest friends ever.

Date: May 11th, 2003 08:21 am (UTC)Score one for the home team! Four package tickets ordered (ticketmaster deserves to be crucified for those convenience charges) and on their merry little way here.
The parents and I took a little field trip this morning (I'm now going on over 24 hours, yes) so I probably missed your call. However, all is right with the world, thank you again for yesterday, there may have been high-pitched squeeing about the pretty pretty headshot (I may well be utterly and irredeemably in love with the hair) and now, there is naught to do but sleep.
Talk to you soon!

Date: May 11th, 2003 11:12 am (UTC)And really, I should go take a nap now, since two hours just ain't cutting it for me, but I think I'll go to the one hour photo and develop my JC pictures instead. Heh. Yes, we shall talk soon! If anything, because I have a story brewing and need somebody to bounce ideas off of. So hopefully, we shall catch up tonight! *hugs*

Date: May 11th, 2003 03:38 pm (UTC)JC pictures! With his bandana and hair and cuteness! All of that was much too high pitched, but really, from everything yesterday and in general, it's like you said - there's no not loving that boy.
One time for writerly inspiration! I've been sketching this 'jilted at the altar' thing that is probably the most wankerific piece of work ever, so some legitimate story talk will be grand. Catch you later tonight!

Date: May 12th, 2003 01:44 am (UTC)Jilted at the altar, eh? Honestly, I don't think any piece, no matter how preposterous the one-line-description sounds, is beyond hope if properly tackled. After all, mine revolves around pigeons ;-) Sorry I didn't catch you tonight -- wasn't able to use the computer for a while because my dad needed the line, and have tons of errands to run and a job to find still. Sigh. Hopefully, tomorrow!

Date: May 12th, 2003 12:53 pm (UTC)Collins Avenue, if there's any relation, is A1A, which is our equivalent of your Pacific Coast Highway. I'd venture it's the park on South Beach on Ocean Drive, in which case they're seriously out of their minds if they think they can fit that many people in there. But what do I know - it's been a few years since I last lived right next to it. *shakes her head* All I know is there seems to be an awful lot of bleachers involved and it's definitely looking to be open-air.
I have issues with the Joey in my head who keeps wanting to play the forbidden card past any point of reason and the Lance that keeps letting him get away with it. I also, unfortunately, have make-up dinner with my father tonight, which means I won't be back before one, and possibly not in any lucid state. We *are* going to run into each other at some soon point though.

Date: May 12th, 2003 06:35 pm (UTC)Collins Park... hmm... a search turned up that it is roughly between 21st and 22nd streets on Collins, one block from the ocean. And... hahahaha! There is apparently the Bass Museum of Art (2121 Park Avenue. We obviously need to go; it's a sign.) in the vicinity. Also, a Cultural Center. It sounds like a fairly large place. With trees and... park stuff. And then there is a beach behind the park. So, it sounds large enough, hopefully. I mean, both the boys and their coordinators are kinda flakey, but not *that* flakey... *hopeful look*

Dude, I *totally* laughed out loud when I read that. It just makes me think of all those fics where Lance and JC go to the museums of the cities they're in but really, how could they resist?
I'll go to Mapquest and take a little recon trip this week so I can give us a better idea and maybe scope out a hotel.

Date: May 12th, 2003 09:38 pm (UTC)It's a cute little place and when I called to check, they said they had a king-sized suite going for $109 a night. I would have made a reservation right away, but they require a deposit I won't be able to put out until next week, so I'm sitting on it and hoping they don't fill up too fast (there are only 50 rooms, eek!). It just sounds ideal.
But, like I said, if I can't manage to secure a room there, then your scouting will definitely come in handy because it's the only way we'll be able to tell if the hotels that claim to be close really are. :-)
