Day Ten - for my next trick, something whimsical

From the 2002 Sundance Film festival. How this image manages to embody the epitome of Lance's dorkitude yet remain somehow oddly hot is a trick only a precious few can pull off. He does it with style and aplomb, as the Offspring would have us have it. Lance is a man who makes his own decisions, lives in a rather cavalier style of his own as of late, and to hell with everyone else because they're probably not having nearly as much fun as he is.

Today's recommendation is admittedly someone else's from earlier in the week, but it's one I somehow managed to miss in my initial ravaging of the authors' archive and upon reading, pretty much consumed me for the rest of the afternoon.

Now, I've never had any sort of run-in with doppelganger fic so I can't call that either way, but body switching? Hot fucking damn. Lance talking about Justin just lying back because he knows what feels good and appreciating his own sexiness? Rawr. What I really love though is the appreciation those who know the boys will get from their interactions with Lancefied!Justin and Justinized!Lance. No one knows, and really how would their figure, but things get noticed and it's interesting to see how even a group of guys who live in each others' back pockets manage to lead some sort of own separate existences as well.

It was you! Apparently, reading my friendslist this morning translates to 'some point earlier in the week' in my head. Eleven o'clock was so long ago though!

Lance, looking at himself? Getting off on his own voice? Aaaaah.

Good god! I mean, they were mostly the same things we're so used to the others noticing about him in fic, but for him to hear his own voice outside his head, see his own hard-earned body, know what he looks like when people tell him he's sexy and understand what they mean was just amazing to read. Maybe because there's so much self-esteem issues-involving Lance fic out there, for him to see for himself what everyone's making all the fuss about was incredible to read.

And the sex with the added knowing exactly what makes him feel good factor? I don't think my blood pressure can take more than one reading of this in a single day. Thanks for reccing it, Susie.
