Lance is such a consummate individual in every way. He's come so far despite starting out with everything to make it in the business stacked against him. Eat it, BMG. Suck it good, long, and hard, because this boy is better, more talented, and savvier than anything you can ever even hope to imagine.

Part of the problem was that Joey was suddenly more available than ever before. Joey had always been a touchy person, and after the change he became even more so. He would slide his hand into the crook of Lance's arm if they were walking together, or call him Lala in a laughing voice while he touched Lance's cheek with one hand, or lean back between the V of Lance's legs when they were watching t.v. and recline against his chest and pull Lance's arms around his waist. Lance could see the envy smouldering in JC's eyes. He wanted to shout "take her, take her, I don't want her!" just so JC would stop glaring at him, but that wasn't entirely true. He did like Jo, who was mostly Joey in a softer package: he just didn't like her the way he'd liked Joey. The way he'd loved him.

We are on a girl!Sync kick, my friends. Tonight it's Joey's turn as the stunning "Amazon" of the woman he would be, the most shameless, unrefined kind of beautiful only gleefully slutty men would be. And Lance... well, you see, Lance liked him before. Which creates yet another differing purpose for the change, where it's the changee who has to come to the realization. Funny and touching and every bit affirming of just why I love this author so much.

Matrix Reloaded at midnight, folks! Got the Sour Patch Kids from Walgreens (they come in Super and Ginormous sizes now, whoot!), the best friend is en route as we speak, and I found my ankle-length swirly-black trenchcoat. Come now, how often do I have occasion to wear something like that?

I like that one too. Of all the girl!sync stories this one is one of my favorites, because Lance is gay and he liked Joey before.

Whereas a lot of the time the idea for the change is to get one of the others who were conventionally straight up until that point to fall for them, then accept them again when the boy changes back. I absolutely [heart] Synchronik.
