Wango Tango update!

Lance! Lance with love and pride in his voice introducing "Mr. JC" and though he may have said Chasez, I didn't hear it over the screams from the standing ovation (first time all night, I'm told).

There was a band that didn't win last weekend whose drumline really was incredible, and they got to come out and play first, before the winning high school came onstage and began Blowin' Me Up. They really were amazing and it was truly cool of JC to do that.

And JC! Wearing the uniform jacket of his chosen band, then having it ceremonious stripped off of him! There was some risque lifting of skirts before the girl he was dancing with was divulged of them as well, and it was pretty much an emulated free-for-all orgy during the gaspy/moany parts. He sounded perfect, and even the band was coached in the choreography! Excellent show, and I couldn't be happier that he got such a grand reception for his first live performance of the song.

*happy sigh* Thanks again, ladies.

Oh, man. It sounds so good. I so wanted him to do great, and YAY! He did!

He really did - even on a dying phone on one end and my mediocre bit of Motorola on the other, it was magic. The girls were squeeing for a while there afterward and joyfully reaffirmed what I heard.

So happy! Can't wait for August 18th. *sits on hands impatiently*

Yay! I'm glad you caught as much of it as you did -- we weren't sure when the phone died. Actually, JC had picked two bands to tie last week and was trying for a while to get all five of the finalists on stage, but was vetoed because they wouldn't all fit :-) True, the first ones (La Puente) to go were mainly there because he fell in love with their trashcan-playing drumline, but the rest of their band and flags got to stand up there as well. Heh. But yeah, Granada Hills was the one he came out wearing the uniform of and the ones who were center stage. Just random notation :-)
