Yeah, I'd be pretty giddy to have a lifesize likeness of me available for fondling in a public place, too... And don't think everyone who goes to Madame Tussaud's now doesn't take advantage of it. *cough*I'm well acquainted with the stripe of skin from his Adam's apple to his right ear because of it*cough* It makes me wonder though, how they took all those measurements and the figures are still so, well, untrue to the originals. Not to the point of disservice, and it can certainly get eerie to stand thisclose for detailed examination purposes and they don't even blink (they're actually more accurate at that distance). But still.
Plus, this was their first public appearance as a group since they split ways in late April after the Celebrity tour. It was surreally lovely to see them in a room together, present tense, rather than the slews of seemingly ancient pictures which were all I'd had before.
Ode by Arsenic
"I just. I kinda think with you it's a shame."
"What's a shame?"
"Missing out on college. Because sometimes you listen to people when they call you stupid for being in a boyband or outta the way you stare sometimes, but you're not. I wish you had a chance to find that out. Outside of us."
"I have four people who would stand by my actions as intelligent if I decided to go swimming in the Suez Canal. Why should I need anything else?"
"I worry that our voices get drowned out. I wish there were others. I wish a lot of things."
I'll admit that the idea of Bassez has and continues to frustrate me on a logical level. Lance is the businessman, orderly and efficient and dealing with people, numbers, facts. JC is equally the consummate artist, creative and spacey with very little regard for the technicalities of how things like schedules and contracts work so long as he can make his music happen. In practice, however, it's this sweet, loving entity not in spite, but seemingly irregardless of their respective personalities.

I'll probably be listening to this song for a good, long while to come. As those close to me know, I'm an absolute sucker for movie soundtracks and scores, and this song is just *perfect* for the freeway sequence. And the Twins! *Such* a lost cause for bad guys, too. The dreads! The clothes! The sunglasses! The makeup!
And I'm done.

It's weird, like whatever this "life" thing inside of us is totally not existing in the replicas. For all the amazing realism, they still look unnatural somehow.
