I know the rules, so I can knowledgeably misuse the word festivities to describe the following.
Today was all about the MMC footage. Downloaded a real mess of stuff from Kazaa (blessed be thy name) over the past week, and I sat down tonight to sort through it. Some impressions:
-I've heard the audio of JC and Tony doing Now and Forever. Tonight, I got to see the video, and I still can't quite watch the whole thing without forgetting to breathe. *So* talented. That boy is just so obscenely talented, watching him is like magic, rapturous and delightful. There's something endearing about his perfection that makes him admirable rather than enviable. You just want to give him the world if it'll keep him that happy to just be able to share his gift with you.
And I am a sappy, nougat-filled excuse for a grown woman. Moving right along.
-And speaking of flooring performances, Christina has always had that incredible, strong voice. What was she, twelve here, and putting Whitney Houston to shame.
-Justin and Britney were absolutely adorable pint-sized versions of themselves in every way. But in the way you know they're going to be, not in the way that JC's always been. I bestow offerings at my Matt Cassell shrine daily.
-You really could tell who would be big stars from that group. Some of those kids, man, it was like their birth was a live television performance and they just naturally did everything the best way to make an audience immediately fall in love with them.
The googlism thing was all worth it for this: JoLa is the weed of slash. Gateway drugs baby, gotta know how to pick your poisons.
Joey mah jongg has been conquered. The accompanying sense of growing accomplishment is entirely unwarranted.
It is bittersweetly ironic that I've been second to Dana Cohen in all the ways that really count. I won't lie - one of my goals this life is never to run into her again.
A.J. McLean heartily encourages us all to have sex in an elevator because it's "fun." I personally hate the feeling I get in my belly while going up (someone else make the joke about counteracting it by going down).
There was more, but it is gone (gone!) I am to sleep.

Remember the Time
?!?!?! As in the Michael Jackson song? *swoons* That is the first video I can recall seeing on MTV when I came to the states.

Dude. Found someone on Kazaa with RTM. High holy moly. For the record, Matt Cassella is entirely my personal hero.
