If anyone here in SoFla knows any cheap record stores, not for mainstream music but maybe a promotional CD dumping ground for radio stations, that sort of thing, do drop me a line. I miss the days when I could afford to buy a CD on the virtue of liking one song and would love some new music.

*snicker* How uproariously funny do I find it that Justin Timberlake, Britney Spears, and JC Chasez have been backup dancers for Christina Aguilera? I [heart] MMC more with every single snippet.

Speaking of, JC's modesty is incredibly darling. That boy's going to be huge and do great things and still be humble about each and every recording he puts out.

In an unrelated sidenote, my mother found him impressively handsome when I showed her the headshot this morning. For the record, she most emphatically does not even humor (though she does roll her eyes very politely) most of my entertainment!boycrushes, and the total of fandom men who exist in her world are George Clooney, so. *bg*

The unofficial making of Gone footage is completely adorable. Watching them being filmed sitting in an patch of fake grass, lip-syncing and cracking each other up between takes makes the whole thing a whole thing a lot less maudlin. And a whole lot more ridiculous.

Shopping today. What kind of girl am I that this doesn't even remotely thrill me? Some as-yet undetermined film tonight where it'll be all about raiding the concession stand for Matrix cups and a ROTK bucket, because I am not above admitting my status as a merchandising whore.

While I can't help you with real live SoFla stores, I *did* hop online and find that the company that owns the <a href:"http://www.rhinowestwood.com/about.html">Westwood store</a> I was telling you about *does* have a <a href:"http://www.rhinorecords.com/index.lasso">fancy website</a> for the rest of the country, with online ordering. Sadly, no parking lot sales possible there, though. Though if you're looking for dirt cheap, you're still better off just finding a list of recs, then looking them up on ebay/half/amazon, etc. These days, I've seen more deals go down there than anywhere short of a garage sale or swapmeet. Sometimes not even. So.

Do you have Vinyl Fever? I've found some great, rare stuff in their used bins in Tampa. I know they have some other locations in FL but I don't know where.

We do not in fact have Vinyl Fever. Basically what it comes down to is that not only we are the most populous/urbanized area in the entire state, we are also the most deeply uncool. Thanks for the heads up though.
