Little bundles of socks and underwear are scattered all across the floor and when JC tries to bring himself up to standing, his palm slips under the book's smooth cover surface and the loose page comes flying out. JC giggles to himself, pawing around until he's at least sitting up, and he reaches for the letter. Everything's happening so fast, lately, the surface of his life is getting so shiny, it'd be nice to look back, remember what came before. And it's all there, their clumsy beginning.

But the letter doesn't stop where it did before.

Lovely and surreal - a story of what-ifs and could've-beens between the what-ares, and appropriately in the end none of it matters except for the what-have-always-beens.

Eeeee! And in other news, your package arrived today! :-D The piccie on the envelope! The photos! May I scan some, by the way? Esp. the Joey one :-) And the CD! I have some of the albums, but the majority are newish, so I'll pop it in the car the minute I get off work. *capers* Thank you so much! That totally made my day already at 9.30 in the morning *g*

I'm actually almost done scanning the photos myself, I just came upon them the other day and organized them into a book, but yeah, some of the photos I really do love and want to share. I'll be putting them up with the pool party update soonish. Isn't the Joey one fabulous? :) I have no idea what night that was, but it may have been the one when my hands inside leather/cashmere gloves were shaking it was so cold outside. It may well have also been raining - Joey signed everyone's stuff that night.

Yay for making your day first thing in the morning! *hugs* I'm glad you liked it. As mentioned, the CD was stuff that they wouldn't boot me out of any "legitimate" (and grr to the automatically anti-pop music tendecies of most) conversation involving music. Greatest hits is probably going to be a minimum two-volume deal, though doing it by decade would just be smart. Doing the boys' greatest hits (must come up with some kind of criteria for that, there's no way I can narrow it to twenty songs on my own subjectivity alone) will be a challenge, but really, no actual skin off my back. ;)

And yes, that is a good Joey pic. He looks all serious and dedicated and such. Probably with good reason, if the conditions were like that. Come to that, y'all were pretty dedicated then as well. Awwww.

Heh. You see, while I have a handful of the albums of the artists you sent (and many others that would be considered 'legitimate'), I make sure to mix them so thoroughly in my binders with ones that make those people groan that they have to page through each and suffer through it if they plan on getting anything they can tolerate into the CD player. I call it education.
