I don't care if that means washing dishes for minimum wage, I am gone, gone, gone! when they hand me that diploma.

The computer time I spend online (which I won't even guesstimate to preserve some dignity) I have to do outside, in an office that is un-air-conditioned, so to be able to simply breathe I have to leave the door open to the elements, which include a breeze, but also Florida's (albeit narrow - it's all bugs) variety of wildlife.

And I get bitten by a mosquito during the two minutes I spend inside the house in my own freakin' bathroom.

That's Florida's idea of irony for you, kids.

Gone!

Come to California! We're friendly, the weather's better, the SDBs roam freely (well, sorta), and there's far less in the way of insecty wildlife.

(Oddly, I think I dreamed last night about being eaten alive by mosquitoes. I'd forgotten until I read your post.)

*hugs* Thank you kindly for the invite, m'dear. If [livejournal.com profile] giddyupnow had her way, I would've been out there since the beginning of last semester. Used to be there was incentive to live in the vicinity of Orlando. I have to remember what keeps me here - good, free university education, parental support, best friend. I'll stick out the next two years, but after that, it's either your coast or New York.

*meep* That's a mad scary dream, yo. *hides from freaky insects*

*nods* Good, free education is important. So are family and friends.

But when you're in the market for a move, I hope you'll consider our side of the world.

You know though, to be completely honest, besides the above, the one thing really keeping me here is the scariness of Change. I intend to do more constructive (read: marketable) things in the next two years, but I might need that buffer zone of college/internship before embarking into the Real World. But then, which of the cool kids hasn't dropped college 20 credits shy of graduating to do something more compelling with their lives? I kid, but maybe. I think about it sometimes, anyhow. For the moment, semester starts the 27th, and that's alright by me.

Also, this has been a Gratuitous Image Comment! You're the first to see. I absolutely melted over this one when Miranda and I finished it. So much love, man.

AWWWWWW! They're so lovely together.

Also, y'know, don't worry too much about Change. It'll happen, whether you like it or not, so I think the best thing to do is just go with it.
