Mood iconing is a funny thing.

LiveJournal has 134 supported moods, plus I have about ten-fifteen others I find myself using often. Ergo, lots of icons to be made from, grant you, lots of pictures, but it's a very slow, nuanced process once you factor in cropping, editing, cleaning up, color balance, etc. So I've spent a lot of time looking very closely at every single picture from Challenge weekend.
Interesting phenomenon: little mini-dramas have begun to emerge.
Now, reading faces isn't an exact science, even taking into account the psycho-biological anthropologists who say I have some advantage over men. Other biasing variables include moods still needing to be filled versus those already designated, etc. so, like I said.
But. This is hella cool, yo. (picture credits to their respective takers) Disclaimer! I don't take myself too seriously, and neither should you.

-Check out Lance's face in the third Krave arrival picture - he looks this combination of surprised and bitterly un-so, like someone he'd had designs on out of frame decided to go off with someone else. His smiles are all either fake or forced, all a stark contrast to...

-...how happy and glowy he looked at the Murano Grande not twenty-four hours before.

-Who was he (unsuccessfully?) trying to seduce with all that gleeful shirtless romping earlier in the day? (Not that we needed a reminder, but ain't he pretty?)

-While JC's face is not made to convey negative emotions, he managed to look quite enviously at Lance during that Access Hollywood clip shot Sunday, when not a day earlier, they were all smiles...

-...backstage at Skills. JC and Lance looked adorably flirty, like it was X years down the road and whoever needed to take care of any coming out business has done so and they're freely reminiscing about "old times."

-Lance's penchants for either boytoys or tall, burly men have both been reaffirmed. Read into both what you will.

-Does the fact that Jermaine Dupri and Justin were in the same rooms for any lengths of time make anyone else wonder if they had a chance to discuss common, ahem, interests? *winkwink*

-I'm again struck and somewhat torn by Lance's diligence when it came to defending Joey...

-...versus his nonchalance toward his other charges.

-Joey's table dancing antics and...

-...Lance's glowy bashfulness at the Champions' Celebration, but also...

-...JC's almost indignant posture combined with his wearing the same shirt as at the previous night's festivities, combined with Justin and Chris' notable absences, is just a convoluted melodrama waiting to be extrapolated.
All this and I haven't even started in on the mountains of pictures from Skills and Challenge themselves, with all the casual Lambs camaraderie and sweet TrickC-ery, as well as JoLa everywhere you looked and a noticeable overall lack of TrickyFish and Bassez at the latter.
Quotes of the Night:
"Oh, I dig my own grave with glee."
"Whoo, insanity!"

Yep, that about sums it up. (Icon provided with a side of irony by
