Have you hugged your best friend today?

I think it took us a half hour, three tries, and at least four hugs before I finally left Miranda's at three a.m. We hadn't seen each other in about five days, and it showed. We sat for Starbucks coffee, made and brainstormed yet more icons, and sang Tango Maureen and Rent for which we'll have to bribe RJ to let us put his recording equipment to good use once we're all back up at school.

Good times, man. We're not caught up, but that's what tomorrow is for. Shopping and free movies! What more could a girl want.

Also, GIP, because she's just that fantastic and loves me besides. It's officially my 'hope springs eternal' icon, should I need something to cling to. It's also one of the most beautiful things absolutely ever in all the world. Like I said, no contest as to who earns her cookies around here.

ETA: By popular demand, here is the full-sized picture, found at nsyncgallery.org and hosted by [livejournal.com profile] walkingshadow:

Oh man, I love your icon. Is that a jola moment I spy?(I'm not sure i could take it if it was...)

Would you be able to direct me to the original picture?

It is *so* a JoLa moment going on back there. It's this already amazing moment of solidarity come-what-may, but Joey recognized that it probably seemed the most improbable to Lance, who was not only their newest but greenest, and lent him what he needed to believe. *melts*

Ack. I looked through my folders but can't find it. I'll hit up my friend who made it tomorrow and post it, 'k?

And dude, your icon is downright adorable, which is a feat for those two.

Thankyou! I will eagerly anticipate a monent of JoLa picture happiness - I have been JoLa free for too long now...

Thankyou again! And it totally is adorable, so adorable I just couldn't think of any text to do it justice.

Entry's been edited to include the picture. Enjoy.

Woohoo! Thanks again, it's even more lovely than I thought.

Yes, yes. It's a very lovely icon. I've never seen the original picture, but it shows friendship, even in small form. I like the text too. :)

The text is a slightly altered line from K's Choice song called Believe. All [livejournal.com profile] walkingshadow's idea. It warmed my *toes* when I first saw it. The solidarity in that picture, that they're in this thing together, for better or worse and everything that's to come. Chris' no-nonsense stance, Justin's solemnly bowed head, the way Joey's practically holding Lance up - it's this beautiful moment of certainty in the middle of their chaos and big dreams.

Ok, wow Jules. Way to make me all teary eyed so late at night/early in the morning. :)

If you do find the bigger picture, could you share? I'd love to have it.

Aaw! *hugs* It did me in the first time I saw it, too.

Absolutely. I tried looking for it last night but no cigar. I'll get it from Miranda at some point and post it above.

Thanks to you and Miranda for the picture. I just watched Driven: NSYNC and this is the perfect ending. :)

[identity profile] gjstruthseeker.livejournal.com 2003-08-13 12:25 am (UTC)(link)
Driven! I've seen it, like, 4507239462396432 times (okay, maybe just five or six) but I squee every time it's on, usually tape it, and coerce a new person to watch it with me. Papa Fatone makes me cry every.damn.time. Fighting for their name and Lance! And it all ends happily! I do love it so.

I haven't seen it in forever and I just totally wanted to cry at the end. It truly is one of the best pieces on them.

It sure is a gorgeous icon, as Miranda's always are. :-)

*hugs* Thank you, baby. Shall pass along your lovely words. She's aces, that kid.

just whizzing by and had to put on the brakes and tell you that I adore that icon. *g*

Thanks! You and me both, seriously.

Thank you all so much for the kind words. :-)

Here's a link to the elusive full-size picture, JoLa moment, you-and-we-against-the-world attitude, and all:

(Jules, if you want to post it in the original entry, go right ahead.)

And here are lyrics to K's Choice's Believe, if anyone's interested.

*basks some more* Yeah, definitely up in the top five group pictures ever. Thanks for finding it, though it was probably my diminished capacity (read: I was asleep where I sat) rather than any tricksiness on the part of the image itself that foiled my attempts. *g*
