Before I begin, it should be duly noted that Susie is an absolute doll and deserves more love than I can convey with an ocean between us. *hugs* I'm GIPping this icon here and now because of you.
They've expanded the Reitz into a book-and-swag establishment, though interestingly, their magazine selection seems to have narrowed. I see no new incentive to detour in the future.

walkingshadow seems to have wisely chosen to bow out of the insanity, as while I will be intensely amused, it will probably only air for two episodes.
And for the record, I love my friends (though thankfully, none of them like that), I don't shoplift (though not on moral principle but because I'd be guaranteed get caught), orgasms are elusive but attainable (because it really is all about communication), I don't always love myself but mostly, yeah, I'm okay, and I think whoever posted this comment is a freakin' genius. Best practical joke I've seen in forever.
Finally, my own happy secret, as prompted by Nia: I sing very loudly and think I do it rather well when driving in my car. I neither want nor need anyone to confirm or deny this, because it gives me joy as one of the things I'm happy to leave uncertain.

Date: August 21st, 2003 10:46 am (UTC)Eee! I love it! That's a wonderful icon! I so love that picture, too. My sincerest compliments to the chef! And big hugs to you, honey. I'm so lucky to have met you. (And one day I'm sure I'll MEET you, too!)

You are a billion times cooler than me. I'm played by Bill Cosby! HEE!

When I take that European backpacking vacation all well-rounded American kids are supposed to go on sometime during their educational careers, we'll definitely have to run into each other.
I really wonder what the sitcom program bases out allotted roles on. I actually have no idea who Emma Thompson is - I looked her up on IMDB and I'm not familiar with her credits, though I have heard of her. She's British though! I've always wanted to speak with an accent.

Date: August 21st, 2003 01:54 pm (UTC)My husband and I were listening to "Cold Spring Harbor" last week (Billy Joel's first album), and every song on there was just making me want to write songfic for SDBs. How shameful. But the lyrics were so perfect! I keep thinking about it, even now.

Or maybe this fall, when I visit my parents in Valdosta. You never know!

She's wonderful! She's really one of my favorite actresses. My favorite of her movies is Much Ado About Nothing, by Kenneth Branagh (whom she was married to at the time). It's one of my all-time favorites. :-)
Thank you for the icon! It's so cool!

Date: August 21st, 2003 02:09 pm (UTC)Whee! This fall! As in, the months of October or November? *squee* You tell me when and I'll make every unreasonable effort to make the trip up there.
Dude. Married to Kenneth Branaugh? I'll take it. *g*
*mwah* You're so welcome, hon. Glad you liked it. Justin doesn't know what he's missing, man. But then, that could well escalate into forbidden fruit allure and the next album will be tragiccally melancholic streetified achey-breaky heart songs. *giggle* I'd do very naughty things to hear Justin sing Untouchable Memories.
...
Bwahahahaha! *collapses in a hysterical giggle fit*

Date: August 22nd, 2003 02:33 am (UTC)Bwah! I think my most recent LJ post is as close as we'll ever get to those TEN stories. Do you know how long that would take me? I just don't do short. ;-)

Yes, very likely! I'm not sure when exactly, but I keep hoping JC's tour dates will be released and I can try to take them into consideration. But at some point Marty and I are just going to have to make our travel plans, with or without JC. ;-) I'll let you know more info when I have it. It would be so much fun to meet you!
Look! Look at my icon!

Date: August 22nd, 2003 10:16 am (UTC)Now, you know that only makes me love you more, right? I'm all on the side of whoever said this spate of flash fiction has got to be abated. People think they're real stories! They don't see communities like
Valdosta is apparently all of two hours north of me, so definitely let me know when you guys have firmed things up, whether or not our favorite anal-retentive perfectionist decides to unveil his roadmap for winning over the nation one theater show at a time.
Your icon! It's ingenious! And pretty! And maybe giving me a bit of deja vu, though I can't quite place it...
