And for the record, I love my friends (though thankfully, none of them like that), I don't shoplift (though not on moral principle but because I'd be guaranteed get caught), orgasms are elusive but attainable (because it really is all about communication), I don't always love myself but mostly, yeah, I'm okay, and I think whoever posted this comment is a freakin' genius. Best practical joke I've seen in forever.

Finally, my own happy secret, as prompted by Nia: I sing very loudly and think I do it rather well when driving in my car. I neither want nor need anyone to confirm or deny this, because it gives me joy as one of the things I'm happy to leave uncertain.

My husband and I were listening to "Cold Spring Harbor" last week (Billy Joel's first album), and every song on there was just making me want to write songfic for SDBs. How shameful. But the lyrics were so perfect! I keep thinking about it, even now.

She's wonderful! She's really one of my favorite actresses. My favorite of her movies is Much Ado About Nothing, by Kenneth Branagh (whom she was married to at the time). It's one of my all-time favorites. :-)

Now, you know that only makes me love you more, right? I'm all on the side of whoever said this spate of flash fiction has got to be abated. People think they're real stories! They don't see communities like

contrelamontre as an exercise forum, but rather as legitimate, real feedback-worthy fic. I'm all about encouraging brevity and wit and all that, but real themes, real events, need fleshing out, exploration, time and care and we're losing that with the new authors coming into fandoms everywhere.

Valdosta is apparently all of two hours north of me, so definitely let me know when you guys have firmed things up, whether or not our favorite anal-retentive perfectionist decides to unveil his roadmap for winning over the nation one theater show at a time.
