So after spending twenty-two minutes on the phone with giddyupnow and making her question very sensible decisions regarding passing on the VMAs this year by telling her about the Roseland Ballroom show, my second call was to the venue itself.

Twenty-one and over.

I have never been quite so desperate to be a month (a single month!) older. It would've been so feasible, too: $118 round trip airfare, we're already on the guest list for the awards show, I could've made a couple of phone calls to see about crashing with people or just stayed with a friend in Philly, and I mean, New York!

I'll just be over here, quiet and fetal in my depressing little underage corner of the universe. *sigh* Damn you, Timberlake!

*snuggles in* Thing is, I'd do what I did for Crobar and just bum my friend's ID again, but the only thing that saved me then was mac_girl calling the bouncer off. I knew everything on the ID, all the stupid little things they could possibly ask, and still managed to be a shaking, stuttering, nervous wreck by the time we got to the door. I'm absurdly horrible at lying.

I'm trying to find someone local who can hook me up, but seriously, not even my drug addict friends have someone I can talk to. Which is ridiculous! *sigh* Fucking Timberlake.

You know, I did think maybe that was it, but I really couldn't hear him, really wasn't interested, and really not coherent enough for any of it. Eh. Lightning struck once, and I'm glad it was that night.

I'd still go if JC were performing at the VMAs, but no such luck. I'm gonna think of it as saving up money to see too many shows on his tour when the time comes. :)

Aaaw, that's so sweet, hon, thank you. It's just one month, which is such an absurdly insignificant amount of time, but they won't care at the door and just. I mean, my life would be completely different had I been born a month earlier - I wouldn't have not made the cutoff for school, firstly. And I love my friends, can't think about this being my last year of college, and so will suck it up and see that many more shows on JC's tour.

Alas, we live in a world rife with injustice (allow me some melodrama for a moment) and I remain, as is always the case before one is twenty-one in this country, born too late. *chants Solo!Club!Tour! to herself*
