First things first: As posted by
kennedy, JC will be on SNL October 18th, which is a damn sight farther away than it ought to be, but eee! In the meantime, my love affair with Plug It In continues to aspire to new heights of passion.
Newlyweds is exactly the trainwreck everyone's said, and probably worse. You know, when my RA put up the billboard about how to sort/do/fold our laundry in our hall the other day, I would've questioned what college-age person, male or female, doesn't yet know not to wash colors in hot water and put any kind of woolens in a washer unless they want to shrink it, but now? *rolls eyes*
Wade remains a dirty rat despite being smart, articulate, much with the hotness, a damn good dancer and my own oh-so-wrong lustings stemming from all of the aforementioned. Otherwise the cognitive dissonance would swallow me whole.
Yesterday's Publix excursion proved to exemplify my life in a somewhat unsettling way: half a gallon of nonfat milk, one box of cereal (because I still have another at home), two bananas, two golden delicious apples, and two magazines. This after not shopping for a week. Apparently, I don't eat any actual food unless people take me out, rather gleaning most of my sustenance from mostly questionable journalism. Luckily, I do get out about once every two days, but wow. Needing to remedy this dietary situation.
Also, an unrelated to Justin month rec: Blood A Necklace by
circusgirl. For not being particularly long, it took me close to two hours to read last night - I was positively wading through as if it were a pool of molasses, never wanting it to end. The writing beautifully compliments the story's setting, it has a thoroughly enrapturing plotline, spot-on characterization; I could hear the clicking of spurs and the slightly off-key piano as Tony played it in the corner of the saloon, see Chris leaning casually against the stable wall as he talked to JC like it was any given Sunday with a fresh bullet wound to his side, feel the intensity between them from the first moment and almost choked on a sob at the end. Yes, I'm a big fangirl for this story, and this ain't the first or last you'll hear of it.
