Besides the lovely literal symbolism of his pose, this picture is beautiful in every way. Perhaps of every kind of picture we get down the grapevine of the boys, these performance shots are my favorite, but this is especially true for Justin and JC, who live for not just the music but bringing it to their fans. Watching them get caught up and swept away and taking an entire arena full of people with them is simply magic.

Lance knows he was in love with Justin long before Justin loved him back. Everyone knows that, just like they all know that Justin's been trying to make up for it ever since. Now he reaches out and cups Lance's chin in his palm. "Syndication is the best thing to happen to cable since MTV," Justin says, his voice thick. He pushes all the papers off the bed and pulls Lance down into a long kiss. Lance doesn't think about everything getting out of order.

"I think maybe there were reruns before that," Lance says as Justin strips them both down to boxers.

"But I didn't get to watch them in bed with you," Justin says, muffled as he trails kisses up Lance's thigh, "so it doesn't really count."

So Justin's this talented, confident kid who's known and done what he's wanted all his life, slowly working around to conquering a good portion of the world in the process. I might have a smidgeon of a kink for seeing him fall in love with that same kind of intensity, all unabashed honesty and grand, sweeping gestures and every single romantic thing he's ever read in a book or seen in a film. However, it seems that that's something which, unfortunately for anyone who does anything as wholeheartedly, others aren't always prepared to handle or reciprocate equally. But here in the world of fic, we get to write the happy endings that aren't so common either.
