Today is not yesterday, and that can only be good. Broke the two-day looping streak of Everyone Everywhere, and while I love New Order something fierce, that can spiral real fast.
Met with tip sheet partner then Journalism lab guy this morning. Was mostly painless, but apparently, I am being too enterprising for his tastes, even though he likes that about me. I know, right? What does that mean? He seems to mean that he appreciates my broad perspective and willingness to go after stories, but wants me to do it with a narrower (read: local) focus. *grumblegrumble* Apparently, I'm meant for feature and editorial writing. Someone get me the pop culture version of Crossfire and maybe then I can sparkle properly.
The new Lance pictures last night? Guh. Especially the one in the bluesy shirt and the one where he's leaning against the wall reaching to further unbutton his already mostly unbuttoned see-through white shirt. Yeah.
I feel really silly about feeling self-conscious when dancing around in my room because JC can see me from his lofty position above my bed and you just know his two-dimensional poster self is so obviously judging me.
Speaking of the boy, I remember his mentioning forgetting lyrics onstage and how he can just tell the audience to sing and cover that way and my being, weh? Forgetting lyrics to songs you've sung 87628364817 times? But man, the instrumental version of Bye Bye Bye came on the other day and as many times as I've listened and sung along, it's much different when it's just you. It's not just words, either, but timing, pitch without harmonizing, all that good stuff. It ain't easy, yo.
[ETA: Anyone else think this song sounds eerily similar to Luke's theme from Star Wars? Not that Williams isn't notorious for (allegedly, yes, I'm coming to love that word) plagiarizing himself but really now, if you're gonna rip something off, try not to make it something quite that, well, notorious.]

You mean it's not Luke's theme from Star Wars? Hahahaha. My 12 year old bro and I had that exact discussion when we first went to see the movie.
