This isn't even the youngest picture I have of him from when *NSYNC began, but it captures an expression lost to the annals of too many years getting used to the quintessence of cameras in his face. It's cool to see this reminder that he really was his age for things. Not even corporate Disney can quash the romanticism of a teenager.

They accepted you as one of them, not just JC's little tag-along brother. Even Chris, who was dark and wonderful and never seemed to notice that you'd fallen in love with him the minute you met, who was funny and liked you even though you felt all Tortured Teen and were tempted to buy Depeche Mode albums and write dark poetry about the fire in your soul. Chris made you laugh.

Aah, AUs. This is enterprise!Sync in the less sparkly and dancing way, which means that Justin isn't the natural star. But he's still playing for the team, still in love with Chris, and still considered too young for most of it. I like stories about Justin coming into his own among the guys.
