Bear witness to the progressive and continuous kickassness that was my day.

Firstly. Ladies and gentlemen may I present to you, the instruments of the making of my morning:

For a girl surfing the Justin/JC wave right now, this one being the first about did me in.

Lance and Diane!

Justin on a cool autumn day much like we're having now, but circa 1996.

Continuing our moms motif...

Saved my favorite (so far) for last.

It's just so cool to see (yeah, of course, but) that there are faces they make and gestures they do that they've practically always done. The kind of access we have to (practically) baby footage in this fandom is just a wonderful chance to know them in an amazingly intimate way.

Many, many more to come.

People are linking their concert synopses and encounters and such on account of Chris' birthday, and I'm coming to realize that I would give a very lot " " to attend an *NSYNC concert. To have my own experience of it, and not someone else's digitally remastered, edited for commercial consumption version of it - I want the banter, I want the imperfect notes, I want the antics, the flirting and the messing around and the ass-slapping and yeah. I surely would.

What does one do with spankin' newly acquired JoLa footage? Well, if he or she is the kind of benevolent human being that [livejournal.com profile] beatpropx is, it's immediately turning around and sharing it with me. It's like he knows me or something. ;) It's Lance going through his bag, camera, candy bar, and then a watch, at which point he pauses for a moment, looking at it fondly and possibly considering his next words before telling the interviewer Joey gave him for his birthday. I love how his voice gets high and fast when he talks about Joey, and since the boys are all on the bed as this is going on, he and Joey do share a momentary Look. And, a watch! It's such a perceptive gift, if you think about it for a moment - y'see, Joey knew of his blossoming anal retention and business-savvy, and the watch is actually more than just a regular, nondescript guy gift: it was practical for the insight he possessed. He *understood,* man. *loves on Joey*

And! And! "I want to be an astronaut." (Not to even mention Joey's loving gaze, eee! *wallows in her OTP*) Can't you just see him in the fifth grade, saying it proudly despite whatever giggles it may have elicited? In its own way, I live for Lance and his space aspirations.

Basement Jaxx needs to relax about their latent shame in collaborating with a boybander. I mean, nothing but respect for the props they've been giving JC, but a little less qualification would be nice.

So, Justin likes dim sum enough to open a restaurant with a "1930s Shanghai-meets-Blade Runner" flair about it on Sunset Boulevard this weekend. I really need to have moved a year ago.

Slightly modified Friday Five because I have neither a kitchen sink, a medicine cabinet, nor a proper freezer.

1. Name five things in your refrigerator.

-Hungarian birthday chocolate
-one large red onion
-three Granny Smith apples
-Healthy Choice turkey breast
-about 1/2 an inch of orange juice

And actually, not counting the condiments, that might be everything. I need to go shopping something fierce.

2. Name five things in your pantry (I'm improvising, it's really the space on top of the microwave and beside my refrigerator.)

-Cookie Crisp
-Ragu Express! individual serving microwave pasta
-Campbell's Chunky Soup in grilled chicken and sausage gumbo
-a package of baby!Tootsie pops
-three different kinds of pepper

3. Name five things under your bed (as this is my main storage space).

-shoe rack
-three scrapbooks, all full
-three scrapbooks, all empty
-five containers of assorted sizes, all full of stuff that will eventually fill said scrapbooks
-*NSYNC Backstage Pass board game

4. Name five things around your computer.

-an *NSYNC bobblehead (bondage!Lance, as Miranda likes to call him because I keep my hairties draped around his neck)
-the free Tonight Show can cooler I snagged at a taping in LA
-my kicky new flip-phone
-a package of MiniDiscs
-new footage CDs!

5. Name five things in your "medicine cabinet" (read: next to the TV and in a little two-drawer shelf beneath aforementioned bed).

-mango body butter (all [livejournal.com profile] sexdrugsfandom's fault)
-White Linen fragrance from the Gap
-Paul Mitchell hair wax from my shorter days
-too many oily skin-centric face products
-Harry Potter band-aids

I got e-mail feedback! Lovely feedback for Here's to the Bachelors, which I really do love a whole lot. *basks*

[livejournal.com profile] silentfire got on the line around six to tell me that it's all my fault and proceeded to take my name in vain... for having gotten Space Cowboy in her head all day. I see no crime. Even Miranda declared that her accusations would not hold up in pop court.

On the fic front, there is a new installment of Cherry's Paradox series, which I adore more than words. The world needs more pre-Europe JoeC (and so long as I have your attention, during-Celebrity tour JoeC would be fantastic, too.) [livejournal.com profile] kennedy is threatening Joey/Carson, and wow that pushed previously-unknown buttons. Also, go tell [livejournal.com profile] giddyupnow that Lance buying slow-maturing mutual funds to woo JC is sexy as hell.

Oh, you mean my own writing? Police!Sync is progressing, but ODing on Law & Order will do that. I've found a few things I'd mostly forgotten, a Joey/Lance I really want to finish, and a bunch of smaller, one-scene deals that just should happen, you know the kind? Anyway, writing is happening, in fits and starts and all over, but definitely happening. It's a good feeling.

And now, coffee. T-freakin'-GIF, man.

see, i never said it was crime. it's not! i was just assigning blame credit where it's due. you've worked hard to convince me to join even the fringes of this (fantastic) fandom, and it's been a success. i'm not going anywhere.

i miss you!

Heh. :) This turn of events pleases me inordinately. You need more footage though. Heck, always more footage, but there's as-yet unknown kinds of love I can help you discover. These boys, man, there's no resisting.

No, I miss you. ;) How's school going? Still blissfully tolerable and uneventful?
